My friend Candice reminded me last night of how all of our friends are so busy with our own personal lives that we rarely get the opportunity to have “girl time” anymore, which made me sad… we tend to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of work and family that sometimes our friendships seem to fall on the back burner, and yes, I am just as guilty as the rest.
I also saw how Heather at Live.Love.Laugh posted about her college friends, and it made me so reminiscent of just how much fun our group had… we were the ones who took on other sororites in intramural sports, the ones who always went to every fraternity philanthropy–whether it was to do relay races at Watermelon Bust or roll around for Mud Football– and we were the ones who definitely had the MOST FUN at any and all social events. And yes, most of us held leadership positions in our chapter as well as on campus so we actually took our college career seriously, too =)
I am so thankful that we have all found a way to remain close, even though we’re scattered around Tennessee, from Knoxville to Nashville to Memphis. Though weddings and football games seem to be the only times we’re all joined together, I really know God has blessed me with an incredible support group of women and I hope we can share many more years of laughter and fun together…
**now friends, don’t kill me for the pictures I am going to post below– I am incriminating myself just as much as you, and Thank the Lord we have all calmed down {some} and matured quite nicely if I do say so myself-hehe
I love you Delta Gamma Girls! {and yes, I am thinking about all of our inside jokes right now and it makes me smile} OXOX
Aren't sorority sisters the best? I'd be lost without mine!
LOVE this post.
xoxo.
Oh, I'm so glad to see someone else's college photographs look like mine – strewn with bud light bottles and solo cups! đ I often miss those fun, carefree days, but I'm also enjoying this great new chapter of weddings & babies. Girlfriends (especially sisters!) are the best.
Love all of the pics of you and your girlfriends- it reminds me of my KD girls back in college- oh how i miss those days- they are my friends for life!
one leg hanging out of a van… JPARK for life… land giants…homemade salsa…cornhole…all sing…pruce for prez…

haha – Cami's comments -'One leg hanging out of a van' and 'Pruce for Prez' made me laugh out loud. Love this post and love you! Miss you girls so much! And P.S.- you forgot that one of your friends lives all the way in Charleston, SC.
