It’s that time of year again… all things back to school!!! I know, didn’t we just start summer a few weeks ago??? As the new school year approaches, having the right essentials can make all the difference = plus there is nothing I love more than some good school supply shopping = a new backpack was always what I looked most forward to. Lisa Frank and a new Trapper Keeper = if you know you know!
You know I want to help make your back to school shopping experience far less painful, SO I’ve rounded up the best in backpacks and lunch boxes, cozy dorm room decor and all the savvy school supplies I could find = helping you shop easy + fast and get it done quickly. Gear up for the new year with these must-have backpacks, lunch boxes, and pouches. You know I went to my trusted sources [i.e. Caroline and Carson] to find out what everyone is carrying… so you know their final results are kid tested and still mother approved by me! From The North Face to Under Armour, a Roller Rabbit for good measure and even some Lululemon, these all topped their list of super cute, yet pretty practical buys. P.S. don’t forget the coordinating lunch box, as well.
Next up… the supplies!!! You know they need a fresh calculator, pencils and all the Crayola. I let Amazon do all the work when it came to this category = keeping it simple and rounding up the everyday essentials they’ll need when they arrive back to school in style. Pencils, scissors and more?? It’s totally like Christmas in July over here. Pro Tip: be sure to check those teacher wishlists for those random things they may need not on your original list!
Next up… dorm life!! Do you have a freshman on your hands? Oh how I remember how hard it was for me to cram all those clothes in one tiny closet. We had lofted beds, coordinating comforters and my roomie and I thought we were all set. Now it looks like interior designers do all the work with the dorm room design. I’ve rounded up all the essentials to help you transform their dorm room into a cozy, functional space they’ll never want to leave. From soft, satin pillowcases and stylish storage solutions and practical gadgets like a Keurig coffee maker [a must in my home] and a bluetooth speaker, these will make their dorm life comfy, cute AND convenient!
P.S. don’t forget to add some personal touches to their space… think a cozy blanket, fun art for the walls, a vibrant neon sign = make it feel just like home sweet home.
Finally, last but not least… I’ve got their back to school style on my mind = lucky for my girls, we get to wear uniforms which has been the greatest thing ever [think far less morning fights and not having to select an outfit each day], but I know there are lots of you out there needing to find savvy, yet stylish clothing, accessories and shoes for the kids before they get back on the bus!
My girls and I went through their go-to stores like Aerie, Altar’d State, JCrew, Abercrombie and more to round up ideas we could all agree on. Think lots of layers for transitioning from late summer to fall, fashionable denim options you can wear for school AND on the weekends, and of course graphic tees + sweatshirts that aim to please.
