Let’s talk shoes… every ensembles finishing touch for helping us look our best all season long!! Fall is here in full force, and you know I’m always game for a good reason to refresh the closet = starting from the ground up. From chic heels and knee-high boots to comfy clogs and casual sneakers, this season’s lineup is full of styles that strike that perfect balance between cozy, cute AND more importantly COMFORTABLE [because yes, that’s important to this forty-something gal now more than ever]. Whether you’re headed to carpool, coffee dates, taking on the town for a concert OR a weekend getaway, there’s a pair [or two!] that deserves a spot in your regular rotation…

Today’s roundup is all about my favorite fall shoe staples — the tried-and-true styles I reach for year after year, plus a few trendier picks that have made their way into my lineup. Grab your pumpkin spice, slip into something stylish and let’s dive into fall footwear favorites we all need to know about!

ONE. Larroude Milan Heels in Caramel — truly a fall wardrobe dream come true. The rich caramel tone goes with everything this time of year, from cropped denim to wide-leg trousers and midi dresses. I love that they add polish without sacrificing comfort [yes, they’re actually SUPER comfy], and that subtle block heel gives just the right amount of lift. Think timeless sophistication meets modern flair… the kind of heel you’ll reach for all season long.

TWO. Shop Avara Stacey Sneakers — casual-chic perfection with a feminine twist. I’m obsessed with the soft faux suede finish and the subtle pink stripe detail that adds just the right pop of color to any ordinary ensemble. The platform sole gives a little extra height, making them ideal for all-day wear. These are the kind of sneakers that instantly pull an outfit together — pair them with jeans and a cozy cardigan for weekend errands or a midi dress for that effortlessly cool, off-duty vibe. Stylish and practical, they’re the pair you’ll keep reaching for again and again this fall. And the under $100 price point makes them accessible for ALL!

THREE. Maeve Espadrille Flats — a perfect mix of sweet and sophisticated. I wore the striped version SO much through the spring + summer I knew it was time to incorporate the suede version for fall. The soft fabrication and woven espadrille texture give them that relaxed fall feel, while the classic Mary Jane strap adds just a hint of vintage charm. I love how they pair effortlessly with cropped jeans and a chunky knit or even a midi dress and leather jacket for a balanced, feminine look. Comfortable enough for all-day wear yet polished enough for dinner out, these flats are the kind of understated staple that quietly steals the show all season long. And yes, you’ll want more than one colorway of these iconic staple shoes!

FOUR. Adidas Gazelle Sneakers — Now this isn’t your average everyday shoe = the delicately printed mesh upper channels vintage floral flair [Liberty of London is ICONIC for their prints] with modern edge, blending statement style. The silhouette still gives you that classic Gazelle shape, but has been elevated with artistic detail and texture. Think cropped jeans + a simple tee + a leather jacket — or with a floral midi if you’re feeling bold. They strike that sweet spot: sneakers that feel relaxed, but make you feel like you dressed with intention. [FYI these do run large so size down!]

FIVE. Tecovas Abby Boots in Driftwood — seriously one of my top picks season after season. The muted, weathered “driftwood” leather is the kind of neutral that just works with everything — denim, skirts, even tailored trousers. The mid-height shaft and block heel provide just enough lift without sacrificing comfort, so you won’t dread walking in them. They’ve got that western-inspired edge without going full-on cowboy, making them versatile for daytime errands or paired with a dress for an evening out. These boots feel like they were made for cozy layers, crisp air, and all the fall days ahead.

SIX. Dolce Vita Lelani Sherpa Clogs are the cozy, “I-never-want-to-take-them-off” shoes of fall. With a plush sherpa upper and cushy sole, they feel like walking on a cloud, yet still carry a stylish edge thanks to the chunky clog silhouette. They’re perfect for those in-between days when you want to lean into cozy, but still show up looking put together. Pair them with relaxed jeans and a chunky sweater for a laid-back weekend vibe, or slip them on with leggings and an oversized cardigan for maximum comfort that doesn’t feel lazy. These might just be my go-to when I want something that’s part slipper, part statement shoe.

SEVEN. Dolce Vita Brown Notice Sneakers — the perfect blend of sporty and stylish. Crafted with a suede upper and rubber outsole, these sneakers offer both comfort and durability. Their low-profile design and neutral brown tone make them incredibly versatile, pairing effortlessly with everything from jeans to dresses. The contrasting white laces and side stripes add a touch of visual interest, while the scalloped edges bring a subtle, feminine flair. Whether you’re running errands or meeting friends for coffee, these sneakers will keep you looking chic and feeling comfortable all day long. There is a reason this stylish sneaker is a go-to season after season = now this is my 4th pair!

Some extra shoe additions = honorable mentions and things currently lurking in my cart… of course a few more Larroude Milan styles that are calling my name, a pair of leopard Mary Jane flats [because remember, leopard is basically the neutral of the season—see my recent Color Crush blog!]), plush Dolce Vita sneakers for cozy-chic vibes, burgundy western boots that feel like fall in a shoe, and suede platform clogs for that perfect mix of height and comfort. These picks didn’t quite make the main lineup but are definitely contenders for rotating into my fall rotation—basically, a little shoe crush I can’t resist.
