graze + gather | what to wear for thanksgiving…

Uncategorized

November 13, 2025

Turkey day is coming in hot [just 3 weeks from today if you’re counting down] = and if you’re anything like me, you’re already thinking about what to wear before the oven even preheats!! Also trying to plan ahead as much as humanly possible since we are hosting this season and I don’t want to be running around like a crazy person saying “I have nothing to wear” which is what tends to happen.

If you’re like me, Thanksgiving style is all about cozy meets cute: think soft knits, pretty prints and festive textures that still leave room for grazing and gathering and extra room for second helpings [priorities, right?]. Whether you’re hosting at home, heading out to family dinner, or sneaking in some Black Friday shopping early, I’ve got three outfit ideas that are equal parts comfortable and chic … perfect for however you’re celebrating with your nearest and dearest this year!

Plaid and stripes may get all the fall love, but this Fuzzy Chevron Cardigan [runs TTS, wearing XS] from Allison New York is the real MVP of the season. I’m obsessed with the mix of burgundy and blush — so flattering and festive! I paired it with these cream corduroy barrel jeans from Target’s Universal Thread line [runs TTS, wearing size 00] for a fresh, easy vibe that still feels polished and perfectly chic. Add a subtle flat, gold jewelry, and a structured bag, and you’re set for a day of family photos, pumpkin pie, loads of football and cozy conversation, too.

Moving onto look number two… sweater weather is in full swing [at least as of late], and I’m here for all the texture! This Pilcro V-Neck Sweater from Anthro brings just the right amount of puff-sleeve drama without going over the top [runs TTS, wearing XS] and I love how it pairs with the Colette Crop Corduroy Heart-Print Pants [wearing size 24, run TTS] — the mix of soft fabrics feels extra luxe and totally holiday-ready, but still classic and timeless. Add a printed scarf on your little red bag for a little pop of pattern and slip on platform rhinestone heels or boots for an effortlessly dressy feel. It’s that perfect in-between outfit that works for both lunch and lounging OR when you want to bring the heat this holiday.

For the final show and tell… you know I can’t resist a good matching moment… and this duo from Allison New York is fall fashion perfection! The Daphne Sweater [wearing XS, runs TTS] in rich chocolate brown is cozy, chunky, and oh-so-cute with its pom-pom detailing, while the longer length Georgia Skirt [wearing XS/runs TTS] ties it all together with its flowy floral print and ruffled tiers. It’s comfy enough for a full Thanksgiving feast but still totally put-together for pictures. I added a Leopard Mini Pouchette for a touch of fun = because you can never have too much print mixing when the holidays roll around!

Still needing a few more festive ideas for all the family fun??? Never fear… I’ve got three more looks you just might love.
