My Christmas Story

Uncategorized

December 28, 2009

Oh blog how I have neglected you since last week…my sincerest apologies, but at least others were on top of their posting since I had a brief “blogcation” to celebrate the holidays… but now I am back and ready for another jam-packed week!

Here is the best I can do to recap my blessed Christmas celebration:

On Christmas Eve, I headed to the parents house to bake and get ready for our annual tradition of candlelight church and Ruth’s Chris–we had appetizers before church at Jeff’s house because his mom was visiting–so much fun

Christmas Morning at My Parents– yes, her gifts won AGAIN

My Secret Present– Thanks Mom and Dad
New Perfume and Gold Earrings
YAY! Workout Wear
A New iPod  Boombox for the Beach!
That afternoon, we headed to my Grandparent’s house to celebrate Christmas with the family… needless to say, I didn’t focus on my diet too much during the holidays, but it was well worth it to dive into my Gran’s famous food–so tasty!! Afterwards, we all opened presents and spent the day relaxing…

That night, I headed to Jeff’s house for us to exchange gifts… he got me a new silver and gold bracelet {which I LOVE}, The Hangover DVD, Cranium, and his Mom got me a new Mountain Hardwear monkey fur jacket– so yummy and warm!! All in all, it was a fabulous Christmas and one that will  be hard to top =)

The rest of our weekend was spent house hunting–which seems to be a job in itself–relaxing, and just trying to get back to our normal routines. After indulging myself all weekend, I headed back to the gym yesterday morning to get back into training mode–clocked another 4 miles under 40 minutes and I was extremely proud of myself!!
FYI: I’ll post my new workout schedule a bit later for those who are interested
In other news, my family always has a tradition of going to see movies during the holidays and Saturday we saw Sherlock Holmes… SUCH a great movie! Perfect for action and lots of adventure–a must see in my book!!
Now I am back to work {insert sad face} and ready to tackle this week before ringing in the new year, which I can’t believe is almost here- WOW time flies… have a great Monday!!
