Are you hosting a fabulous party?? Are you and your closest friends going to a downtown dance party? Are you headed to watch the VOLS at the Chick-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta?
Sadly, this year Jeff and I are taking a relaxed view of my beloved New Year’s Eve festivities, and we will be spending it with my wonderful parents… don’t get me wrong, I am ectstaic to know we’ll be ringing in the year with my other 2 favorite people, but sad that I won’t have a reason to wear one of these fabulous dresses:

With the savings spree that we have embarked on, not to mention that we are traveling to Charleston for a long weekend a mere 2 weeks after ringing in 2010, we thought it best to relax on December 31st, watch the last college football game {well, the only game that matters to me}, and enjoy a nice dinner on the town and sip champagne with the parents!! To be honest, I’m excited I won’t have to worry about where we’re going, calling to reserve cabs to tote us around town, etc.
{BTW: does anyone else out there think it’s always horrible trying to find fun things to do on NYE that don’t involve you spending an arm and a leg, just to be disappointed??}
It’s so crazy to think we’ll be toasting to 2010 in a little more than 2 weeks!! What a wild ride 2009 has been, but I have lots to look forward to next year, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed it will be even better than I expect
Now to plan my resolutions that I never stick to… =)
I LOVE those dresses!
It si such a shame that some of these places cost an arm and a leg to attend their New Year's Party. We are in the same boat as you. Thinking the fiance and I may just stay in and host our own party.
And I'm loving those dresses as well.
Hey Girl! Love the festive dresses:) I know someone already sent it to you but I left you a little "glam marilyn" at my place too! Consider yourself a rockstar!
I love all of the dresses! Especially the 2nd one!
No plans yet, there is a gala here that I want to go to but it's so dang expensive…we will see!
Love those dresses! Can't believe the first one is from forever! I think you will have a great time with your parents
Love the dresses! I really like the Forever 21 dress. Something about sequins gets me every time. Plus you cannot complain about F21's prices!
Hey girl – are we getting old or something and have our priorities out of line? I mean, we'd rather take a trip than go out on the town ONE night and spend the same amount of money? đ I think I'm going to stay in too!! Good food, good drink and good company is all you need anyways. Good for you! đ
Yes! I completely agree. Big extravagant nights out for new years always seemed overrated to me. I live very close to NYC and trust me on NYE it is more of a hassle than any fun! I much prefer house parties with close friends. Enjoy your holidays đ
I definitely have a better New Years Eve when it's spent quietly with the people I care most about. I never go to parties. Not fun.
I also can't believe it's already almost 2010. Scary thought!
We'll be spending New Years Eve with law school friends at a house party. Doesn't cost much, rather low key, but lots of fun. I'm not complaining!
they are all super cute!
I wish I was going to be dressed up! but I will be all bundled up in times square!
i dont know what im doing yet, but i want ot wear sparkles!
