I tried to be nice, I tried to play fair, but Mother Nature, you have failed me yet again… I am sitting here at Bongo Java, a local coffee shop, typing away and attempting to work from my “home office” due to the inclement weather–fortunate for me, I had no huge deadlines today so I am able to work from home instead of slipping and sliding all over the interstates.
Who knew I could get so much work done without having people constantly bombarding my office with their weekend details???? Ahhh, this is the life!!
Back to reality and my weekend recap of activities: Friday evening, Jeff and I met with 2 photographers– wow, what fun!! I think we’re finally starting to approach the “fun” planning details and I know he’s thankful because he’s had to put up with my crazy self lately- haha!! More details to come on that topic, but we’ll revisit once we have finalized!!
Saturday was long run day at the Y–must have been for EVERYONE in Nashville, but it felt so good! I discovered I have a slight case of tendonitis–meaning I need to be stretching my arms and legs better so I don’t injure myself!! That afternoon, we headed to Murfreesboro to hang out with my parents for the night because Jeff said he needed some “Dan time” with my Dad– so sweet! We stayed local and indulged in Slick Pig BBQ that night for dinner and then went bowling… in our competitive nature, we had a great time, but I of course won =)
Sunday started off kinda rough, as I wasn’t feeling too well, so we took it easy and rested since we had an exciting Valentine’s Day dinner and date!! My relaxation time paid off and we went to Tayst last night– trust to it’s name, our fantastic meal included scallops and risotto, shrimp and steak, and of course we topped it off with creme brulee for dessert–if you live in Nashville, and have yet to experience Tayst, you MUST TRY IT!!!
Afterwards, we met our friends Lauren and Andy at the movies to see Dear John– I love Nicholas Sparks movies and were so impressed the boys let us conclude our girly night with a real chick flick… I won’t give away anything on this because I know how we all love surprises, but the movie was really good {that’s all I’m saying!!}– I have most definitely found my new love crush Channing Tatum and I think I need to see more of him ASAP =)
Hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day with your sweetie!!
