I wish I could play a trumpet right now because I’d play that infamous derby call for horses… it’s my favorite time of year, spring which means STEEPLECHASE! Oh well, here’s another version to get you excited:
It’s official!! My spot is renewed, tickets are reserved, and the party planning has commenced for the best day of the year, or so I think =) I am looking forward to cookout with friends at our new house the night before, make loads and loads of jello shots {a MUST and annual tradition}, and have one jam-packed full o’ fun day to dress up in spring dresses and big hats!! Just crossing our fingers for no rain/mudpits for this year’s festivities…now, onto the hunt to find “the dress”–here are some of my favorite frameworthy pics from previous years:

Since I am way up here in MN I have never gone to the Derby, but my best friend and her hubs throgh a DERBY party every year ~ dresses and big hats mandatory! It is pretty much a holiday!
