Hoppy Easter!

workout

April 5, 2010

This post makes me think of Louis Armstrong’s infamous song “What a Wonderful World”. That should’ve been the theme song to my life this weekend… I couldn’t have asked for a more blessed time–the weather was gorgeous and I was able to spend quality time with both my friends and family, which is the most important thing of all.
It was raining early Saturday morning here in Nashville, so I had to run inside at the Y to complete my 9 miles–a little difficult to get through as I had to watch people come and go, but I finished at a 10:30 pace and couldn’t have been more proud–OK, tooting my horn a little bit here–but other runners know this feeling like you’re walking on Cloud 9 =)
That afternoon, we headed to Murfreesboro to hang out with my parents. We took my Mom’s convertible out for the night to dinner and a treat to Marble Slab for ice cream–my favorite! Then we called it an early night.
Easter morning, we got up bright and early, and yes, the Easter Bunny still came for both Jeff and I at my parent’s house… we may be 26 years old, but until we have kiddos of our own, I know my mom will spoil us with Easter treats…hehe
Chloe and Bella… aren’t they cute???
We had our photoshoot before church since we actually got ready early…
yes, I couldn’t believe it either
Can you tell how bright it was???
Mom and Me
The BEST Parents in the World
After the service at my parent’s church, we came home and got everything ready to hose brunch at their house for our entire family… so didn’t stick to my diet, but boy was it worth it–Honey Baked Ham, green bean casserole, chinese cole slaw, rolls, cheesy stuffing cups, strawberry cake, butterfinger cake–oh the Comfort Foods for sure!
Some of my beautiful family =)
Me with my Gran and Papa… matching of course!!!
Afterwards, we headed home for our first cookout at our new house with some of our closest friends… I was bad and didn’t take any pics because I was running around crazy playing hostess {which really is so much fun} and had a wonderfully relaxed evening spent laughing, eating, and catching up with our close knit circle =)
Hope you all had a fantabulous Easter weekend, too!! Back to the grind for another Manic Monday
