A Steal of A Deal

website

May 13, 2010

I am always on the run for good buys… now that I am decorating a home, planning a wedding {and buying outfits for anything and everything}, as well as decorating myself with summer clothes, I have to keep myself on a budget so that I can get it done–and not have Jeff kill me discussing how much I spend =).
Recently, I have stumbled on some websites that can help all of us, yet still have an uber:fab and stylish home and clothes that may look like they cost an arm and a leg, but dont break the bank.
Basically, this home decor blogsite helps you find top-notch designer pieces for a fraction of the price…here’s an example:
Mirror on the Cover from the deceased Domino magazine back in 2008
Woods & Fields’ Sunset Scalloped Mirror = $1,890
Ballard Design’s Lily Mirror = $199
Is that not the coolest thing ever?? You can even send Reichel {the blogger herself} an email with a request for a certain item and she’ll track it down for you… now that is what I call a personal shopper!
Yes, it’s like the infamous Bag, Borrow, or Steal website except this is for designer clothes…have a big event you need a to-die-for dress for?? This would be ideal! You “borrow/rent” the dress for a number of weeks and then send it back… great idea for those of us who never like to wear the same dress twice to big events {yes, I know, I am ridic}. You sign up to become a member–just like Rue La La, HauteLook, etc and then you can browse to see what you need to temporarily add to your closet… this is a big WIN in my book!
Thread Social Dress=$58/week
Tibi Dress=$36.50/week
OK, so now back to you… do any of my bloggy friends and readers have other sites like this I need to check out?? I love perusing the sites and multitasking between the 148 other things I need to be doing during my days… Happy Shopping!!
