Yes, I know, it’s been a few since I have updated you on our wedding planning… BUT, I do have some big news to share: last week, Jeff booked our honeymoon!!
I assigned Jeff the hefty task of choosing our honeymoon destination, with the only caviat that I wanted us to travel somewhere neither of us had ever been before. You would think that would be easy, but both of us traveled quite a bit growing up, so that ruled out Hawai’i, Australia, Italy, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, and the Bahamas–so I think I gave him a harder task than he originally thought–haha.
He started talking with a AAA Travel Agent who helped us for weeks as we narrowed down different types of resorts as we ultimately decided we wanted an all-inclusive getaway vacation…and then she sent us heaven on earth and we’re going to…

Hermitage Bay is a 5-star resort with just 25 individual suites, a gourmet restaurant with a French culinary chef that will fix anything you wish in addition to a menu that changes daily, a spa for afternoon treatments, public and private pools, all-inclusive food and beverages {a MUST!}, and all kinds of water sports–snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, and fishing… oh I can’t wait for our relaxing honeymoon!!
And for another wedding essential: THE SHOES! Are you surprised that I already bought my dream shoes?? haha–it happened by mistake actually, as I was browsing Piperlime online looking for shoes for a different reason, and stumbled across THE shoe… not only did they have my size–only 1 pair left in size 7–but they were on sale… I bit the bullet and made the purchase and then went and tried them on with my dress last week to make sure they were PERFECT!! And yes, they were… and yes, they are black!
I have always wanted a colored wedding shoe and just couldn’t get myself to buy a bright yellow pair… it was never the “right” hue of yellow so I went with timeless and uber chic black… here they are:

These little lovelies have been featured in tons of wedding and photography blogs and I am all about the “wedding shoe shot”… these scream my personality and I love how feminine and girly they are! And I know, they are a bit dramatic, but look at a few recent pictures I saw on Style Me Pretty post of a bride photographed with a similar pair of black shoes–aren’t they fabulous??

Ohhh my goodness! Loooook at that water! I am so totally drooling over your honeymoon now! I would LOVE to be sitting right there on that beach with a pina colada in my hand! And seriously, those shoes…TO DIE FOR. Love me some Badgley Mischka. I would kill for one of their wedding gowns!

Love those shoes! I tried to wear them for my wedding, but the heel made me feel like I was en route to ankle surgery #5. The black is SO classic and you will wear those a hundred times after the wedding. Great choice đ

those shoes are ADORABLE!! i had plans to wear super cute green shoes under my dress for my wedding, but could never find the right pair, so i chose cute VS flip flops – haha! the plans we make, right?
