Happy Friday Friends! Some fun–and yet relaxing–activities planned here in Music City this weekend… cannot wait to peace out to work and head home to partake in some fun festivities:
Grocer Store Stock-Up..yes, I am a nerd. I LOVE to go grocery shopping… and Jeff says I am a weirdo because I refuse to let him put our items on the belt because I organize them into sections: fruits/veggies, dry goods, frozen items/refrigerated, etc–can we say OCD??
No, I’m not German, but this weekend is the celebrated Oktoberfest here in Nashville and I am hoping to get to take a little visit to Germantown… great food, beer in steins, beautiful weather, and local merchants–count me in!
We’re also hosting a chili/football party at our house tomorrow with some of our friends…can’t wait to see what the boys have cooked up in their crock pots, while us girls have focused our efforts on appetizers and dessert–recipes to follow next week!
UT/Georgia Matchup…though I’m not physically in Athens this weekend, my heart can’t help but reminisce to when us girls would travel to Athens for some football, UGA the bulldog sightings, Nowhere Bar, and Little Italy pizza–GO VOLS!!
And then on Sunday morning we are FINALLY headed back to church… it feels like ages since we’ve been to our worship services because out being out of town and other obligations. I can’t wait to get back to business and focus my attention on what really matters.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!
That sounds like a fabulous weekend!! Even the grocery shopping 😉 Don't worry- I am completely crazy about how the groceries are organized too! Especially in the cart… not as much on the belt because I know the bagger will mess it all up 🙂
Enjoy the weekend!
Sounds like a fun weekend! I can't wait for the chili/football party recap. Have fun!
sounds like so much fun! have a great weekend!
Sounds fun! I love chili, just made some healthy turkey chili last night for dinner actually!
Have a nice weekend!
Yay for Octoberfest!! I love this month 🙂
Little Italy in Athens is amazing! Visits to Athens are some of my best college memories. Have a wonderful weekend!!
I'm hoping to make it to Oktoberfest as well! I can't wait for the recipes from your chili cook-off. what a fun idea!
I miss Little Italy so much! And Athens!
OMG I just went crazy on my bf the other day he just kept throwing everything on the belt and I told him it's easier if I can organize it while it gets bagged because the frozen is with frozen, refrigerated, dry etc! Glad I'm not the only crazy one!!
Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun…enjoy EVERY moment of your weekend!
hahahah I am the exact same with organizing the food. I guess were freaks together!
I do the same thing at the grocery store! And I am usually as laid back as they come, but if you put my chips in with my frozen stuff I will come unglued! I like to look at it as I'm being more efficient… If all the cold stuff is together, it's easier to put away! lol
I'm headed to Athens tomorrow, hopefully we (uga) can actually win a game! I really miss little Italy!!
i totally organize my groceries too, it makes the unloading process much easier and more efficient. ocd can be helpful 🙂 haha!
Hope you had a fun weekend! Can't wait to hear about your chili party. 🙂 And I completely organize my groceries as I check out. All of my fresh produce, then cold stuff, then canned goods, etc. I want it all bagged in an organized fashion. Ha! OCD? Nah…
I'm so upset I missed Oktoberfest this year. I went last year and it was so fun! I cooked up some oktoberfest meals and made a weekend out of it! Hope you had a blast and sorry about those Vols 🙁
I go completely nuts when it comes to the grocery store too!!! I buy enough it seems like I am hibernating for the winter! Serious overload!
