Today, March 13th, marks my parent’s 20th anniversary…yes you read that correctly, I did indeed say 20. I am most certainly over that age {as we are well aware of}, so I’m sure you can put two and two together…my dad is actually my ‘step-dad’ although he and I don’t like that connotation and he’s been a huge part of life since I was 5, so he is just ‘dad’.
Oh Tina and Dan…what can I say? I admire your marriage more than I could ever tell you individually. I see so much of who Jeff and I aspire to be in the two of you and your advice, guidance, and love has meant so very much to me throughout the years. You are the epitomy of what makes a marriage not only work, but last and I can only hope we have 1/2 as much of a successful union as you have together.
It’s funny you’re celebrating such a milestone in the exact same year that Jeff and I are tying the knot… thank you for always being there, always standing next to me and being my biggest champion, and being there with hugs and kisseses when the going gets tough. You’ve enstilled in me the passion for success and to do my very best, to always be compassionate to others, and to try and be a Godly woman. Congrats on an exciting milestone and cheers to 20, 30, 40 more!! I love you the mostest.

How exciting for your parents. I have the same situation with my "dad" and it confuses the crazies out of my friends at times… but dad is dad. Will he be walking you down the isle?
my dad and i are really close but my stepdad is one of my best friends and i consider him just like a father as well. …i don't want to hurt my dad's feelings but i really want them both to walk me down the aisle and give me away, but i don't want to hurt anyones feelings.. and that's all assuming i'll someday get a ring on my finger đ
i'll be the first to say, the bond between a girl and her stepdad is something special. and i'm so happy both of our moms chose men that we admire. we're lucky girls to have thoughtful mothers AND reliable, trustworthy, men to call our stepdads, even if we call em "Dad"… anyways…
