Forgive me, I’m late…I was relaxing at the beach–I know, boo hoo. I’m back and ready to return to blogging land!! Here’s this week’s update:
How far along? 14 weeks, 5 days…177 days to go!
Size of the baby? A lemon (3.4 inches and 1.5 ounces)
Maternity Clothes? While on vacation, Mom and I ventured to the outlets where we happened to stumble upon a Motherhood Maternity store. Reluctantly, I went in after sulking about where I’d rather be shopping {BCBG, Banana Republic, JCrew, Off Fifth} but was pleasantly surprised to see some really cute pieces… fast forward 1.5 hours in the dressing room with a “fake bump” to see what I am going to look like in a few months, and I walked out with some great fall/winter wardrobe essentials–tunics, sweaters, leggings, tights, and shirts! Thanks Mom and Dad.
Weight Gain? After this week and all the fried seafood I’ve been downing, I was sure I had gained some major poundage, though it looks like I didn’t do too terribly bad…only gained 1 pound. We’ll call that success.
Stretch Marks? Knock on wood…thankfully no! Rubbing that body butter on as much as possible, though I still can’t get over the weird smell of the lotions and oils.
Gender? I’m still saying blue…we get to find out in a mere 3.5 weeks, and it can’t come soon enough!
Movement? Not yet, but I am looking forward to those “butterflies” everyone talks about
Sleep? Surprisingly, I’m sleeping well, except for the 3 to 4 times I have to get up each night for a trip to the bathroom =(
Food Cravings? Ice cream, cereal, chips and salsa, and oatmeal raisin cookies
What I Miss? Sipping a cocktail on the beach while laying out, and my normal “shape” in my clothes {especially my bathing suits}…not going to lie, this body transformation is a bit tough, but I know the end result is absolutely worth it!!
Symptoms? Feeling great this week! Rested, relaxed, and absolutely happy! Just wishing vacation lasted a wee bit longer.
Best Moment of the Week? Vacationing to Florida with friends, and then meeting up with the family…getting the chance to check out from normal work and craziness for a bit. We were sitting on the beach thinking about how our next beach vacation will have the best addition!!
Back to work for a bit…I guess I really do need to get caught up, though everyone’s blogging posts have marked my attention as far more important than new projects đ

What a cute bump! I used the mama mio tummy rub butter for preventing stretch marks and didn't get one! It has a lot of celebrity endorsements. It also smells amazing and you can order it online. Hope this helps!!

Hope this isn't to personal of a question, but before y'all got married when did you plan on trying to have a baby? We bring it up regularly and don't plan on waiting a long time.
Wow! Congrats to you!! Being pregnant is seriously the BEST. I never felt prettier than when I was prego. Sounds crazy, but it's true. Enjoy every single moment of your pregnancy.

I'm glad you were able to stock up on some maternity clothes, even if you don't really need them right now, because pretty soon it will be all you can wear! It feels strange waking up every morning without a closet full of clothes to choose from–but really, it will be SO worth it!
