I know you’re all dying to know what happened at the ultrasound appointment this morning, am I right? Well, for those that know me well…this secret-keeping is hard work and I am normally not good at it whatsoever. However, with that being said–this is one I am keeping, but only for good reasons. I promise to let everyone right after we do the big reveal Saturday afternoon, so for my twitter followers and FB friends, you’ll soon see! Otherwise, stay tuned on Monday and I promise to fill you in, too đ
Anywho, back to business–the big ultrasound. This momma couldn’t sleep a wink last night as I was so anxious about today…just excited, nervous, and every emotion in between. Jeff, on the other hand, seemed calm as a cucumber until we were in the room. Once the technician got to work, he had somewhat of a hard time getting our little one to cooperate. “It” was too busy sucking its thumb and looking super cozy all cuddled up, but after some poking, nudging, and having me lay in some interesting poses, we had our results and were both grinning from ear to ear. God has extremely blessed us and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Ok, I’ll zip it now, and just get back to this week’s important stats:
How far along? 18 weeks, 3 days…151 days to go!
Size of the peanut? A sweet potato–odd shape, but it’s more about the weight/length I think. A whopping 5.6 inches and 6.7 ounces–getting plumper!!
Maternity Clothes? First of all, Gap’s maternity line is a lifesaver. It’s fashionable, cute, and not too pricey. My new order came in yesterday and I am happy to report all 5 items I ordered actually fit and I love them! Other than that, still wearing looser fitting/empire dresses, tunics, and leggings.
Weight Gain? 10 pounds–that scale keeps creeping up, but le baby is getting all the nourishment “it” needs and I couldn’t be happier
Stretch Marks? Nope…thinking only positive thoughts
Gender? We FINALLY know–and yes, I ran right out during lunch today to shop. I just had to buy something non-gender neutral to get it out of my system đ
Movement? I’m feeling these “flutters” every once in awhile now and it is super fun
Sleep? I think Benny the Boppy body pillow is going to have to come out of retirement again…the aching, the constant turning throughout the night–I need some peaceful sleep
Food Cravings? Junk food…any and all of it
What I Miss? On TV, I keep seeing all these “happy people” consuming glasses of wine, and I could definitely indulge in one glass a whole bottle
Symptoms? Irritability, boobs constantly growing, backaches
Best Moment of the Week? Like you don’t already know–finding out boy or girl!!
Ahhh! The flutters are the best. Just wait until you can feel he/she rolling and turning – it's wild đ Happy for you and happy that baby is well đ

You look so cute! I'm almost 37 weeks and still no stretch marks – I swear by vitamin E. I've been rubbing it on my bump every night since about 20 weeks and it seems to have done the trick! Hope your pregnancy continues to go well đ
