1. I apologize for blowwing up Twitter last night…the CMAs were just too much fun to take in and the girls and I were going back and forth–I was giggling so much Jeff thought I was going to lose it…scary man duet with Jennifer Nettles, awkward Scotty American Idol boy, sequins everywhere–including the men’s outfits, and non-stop admiration for Carrie Underwood and her legs. I was loving a few of her looks though!

2. I want to be Matt Laurer–I am a nerd and have watched anxiously every morning this week for his “Where in the World?” series and I can’t help but get uber excited when they reveal his location…so far, he’s been to Namibia, Madrid, Malaysis, and Switzerland…racking up those frequent flyer miles. Wouldn’t that be the life?

3. There are so many Friends and Family Sales going on this weekend… Loft, Gap, Restoration Hardware, Beauty.com–the list goes on and on! Helpful ways to save this holiday season for sure so be on the lookout!

4. Random, but important–I know I’ve had issues with commenting on some friends’ blogs before and I think I figured out how to solve the problem…worked for me and a few others I told, so I thought why not pass the trick on:
Go to Settings–Comments–Comment Form Placement–Select Pop-Up Window
This should fix your problems and I promise more friends will be commenting!

5. I recently heard about an event called Small Business Saturday taking place on November 26. It’s a day to dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping days of the year and I think this is such a great cause. The goal is to get millions of shoppers to shop at their favorite local stores to help fuel the economy…we can all do our part!
That’s all I’ve got for this Thursday…2 weeks until Thanksgiving and my mind is swarming thinking of all the yummy dishes I want to make. I’m also working on my holiday wish list, a pregnancy “thus far” checklist and lessons learned, and a post to detail everything nursery. Ta ta for now!
  1. I loved the CMA's too! However, Carrie's black number and the green flowy dress… not so much love. – Sarah

  2. Mrs. Lovely says:

Thanks for the Commenting tip! Hubs and I were a little baffled by some things at the CMAs as well! Umm, Luke Bryan's sequined pants/boots combo?? And Carrie's final outfit looked like Carol Burnett's parody of Gone With the Wind.

All in all, I'd love to go back. I went for work in 2008 and it was AHMAZING. Definitely a must see if you ever get the chance!

  3. KY says:

I definitely have a major girl crush on Carrie!!!! Swooning over her legs and wishing I had them lol!! Sephora has a friends and family sale going on, too! Check it out 🙂 xo

  4. Laura J says:

I watched this on the couch with my boyfriend from start to finish and we both LOVED it (I of course loved the outfits and music, boyfriend loved the music). Carrie looked stunning, and I particularly loved the black and gold flapper dress with black earrings. Swoon! Also had to laugh at your comment about the scary man duet. I couldn't stop laughing. What the heck were those dance moves? My favorite part of the CMAs was definitely when I noticed some of the male nominees drinking from red solo cups in their seats. If you blinked, you missed it!

  5. Caroline says:

I love all of this. Is it possible to be Carrie and travel like Matt?

  6. Miss V says:

I've also been Loving the Where in the World is Matt Lauer series! The St. Bernard puppies this morning were too cute! Thanks for the heads up on the sales this weekend and the Saturday event for small businesses! All great tips for Holiday shopping! Looking forward to your next preggo post too!! xoxo

  7. melissa says:

Hahaha. Scary man is Matt Nathanson – he's awesome! I bet you know some of his songs. Weren't there some crazy outfits and hair?

I would love to visit all the places Matt Laurer goes but I'd like to stay a week in each place. I think Matt is only there for about 4 hours and spends most of his time in airplanes. Still, not a bad gig!

  8. OMG the CMAs were AMAZING!! Carrie is gorg and I loved everything the girl wore. I dont know about the TSwift entertainer of the year award though…

Hope you and the babes are doing well!

  9. Jess says:

Thank you for telling me about the sales this weekend! I'll have to check them out!

  10. Day Old News says:

I laughed at all those things too!! That AI guy…he does not belong on a stage with those facial expressions and gestures. Creepmaster General!

  11. I love Carrie's dresses…she's gorgeous!

And I'm right there geeking out with you about Where in the World too…it's so much fun to see all the amazing places he visits!!

  12. Tess says:

Honestly, Carrie is basically perfect it's almost hard to stand it! And I'm totally with you about wanting to be Matt Laurer – he has an amazing job and all of the places he is visiting this year seem to be so great.

  13. JMay says:

Omg I knowwww!!! Last night I kept telling my husband, LOOK AT HER LEGS, LOOK AT THEM!!! hahaha CMA's were fun!
