What I Love This Wednesday

Uncategorized

March 7, 2012

I feel as though my posts are quite boring these days…sorry for the mental mind block friends, I assure you I am trying! However, there are some things I am loving this week, in no particular order of course:

a. I am getting a new blog design by the fabulous Jenna of Q.A. Design-I got my first proof the other day and I am super excited for the finished product coming in a few weeks…look for fresh pops of color and a simplified design, too! With so many changes coming up, I figured why not change my blog too?

b. I am loving the new show GCB on ABC Sunday night. I have always been a huge fan of Kristin Chenoweth {AKA the original Glinda from Wicked} and I think this show is hilarious! It’s like the Real Housewives of Texas, but on overdrive.

c. I scooped up a little fun beach cover-up/dress the other day at Old Navy…I think this will be perfect for our beach trip in May, as I don’t think I’ll be sporting my bikini just yet 😉

d. Spring is officially here in Nashville-the dogwoods are blooming, the smell of freshly cut grass is starting to fill the air, and the temperatures are in the high 60s/low 70s this week…it is gorgeous!

e. Jeff’s birthday is next week, and he has finally agreed to let me do a little dinner celebration with our close friends…I have been trying to plan something for weeks, but he was adamant not to-does he not know who he is married to? I’ve been plotting for a fun birthday breakfast surprise that is sure to make his day and cannot wait for his reaction!

f. I am LOVING all the commotion for the upcoming release of The Hunger Games movie…I finished the book last week and must scoop up the next installment asap or I might go nuts! Perfect book for pure entertainment-and I cannot lie, I enjoyed it much more than my current read, “The Happiest Baby on the Block”…there is just SO much to learn about these tiny little ones.

Happy Hump Day everyone!

  2. Chrissy says:

Could you please post a re-cap and pictues from your shower you had recently. Can't wait to see it–it sounded like a beautiful day!

  3. Yay for Spring! Feels like Spring in Dallas too! Your posts are not boring at all! Love reading your updates!

  4. Shari says:

I just ordered the first Hunger Games book. Can't wait to start it. I can't watch a movie before the book has been read. It ruins it too much for me. 🙂

  5. Don't you just love spring! Ugh, I love it!

The Happiest Baby on the Block is awesome and will teach you so much that will help you survive the first few months! Good luck friend!

Check out my blog or facebook.com/stevycurbow for a giveaway that is definitely spring-worthy!

  7. Caroline says:

I've got to remember to look for GCB on demand. I heard great things.

  8. Vicky says:

I heard about the GCB show during chitter chatter at the "watering hole" at work and now I want to watch! I absolutely LOVE Kristin Chenoweth!!

I bought the first book of the Hunger Games for my husband as part of one of his Christmas gifts… Well he finally got around to reading it and is HOOKED. Now I want to read it before seeing the movie too. Hopefully it won't disappoint!

  9. Happiest baby… we have the dvd too! so its easier for me to pay attention! My brain is EVERYWHERE these days… so many days left!!!

  10. Just skip Happiest Baby and read the rest of the The Hunger Games. You will figure out everything you need to know to make your baby the sweetest 🙂 (and you will have a lot less time to purely entertaining reading once she arrives!)

  11. Ashley Marie says:

    excited about your new look!!

I wanted to watch GCB but I didn't know enough…I should have known better – I LOVE Ms Chenoweth. psst I was able to see her and Idina Menzel in Wicked on Broadway =) RIGHT after they won all the emmy's for it =)

We didn't have much of a winter – I got a sunburn this past Saturday!

I'm just getting ready to start the Hunger Games =)

  12. I need to finish the books so I can see the Hunger Games flick 🙂

  13. I bought the same cover up!

Happiest Baby is golden! We use the 5 S's daily with Owen!

  14. I read all three Hunger Games books in three days – so good!!!

  15. Ooo can't wait to see the new blog design! And I didn't get to comment yesterday but you're looking stunning…just glowing! Getting so so excited for you!! xo

  16. Brown Girl says:

I'm actually kind of disappointed about the HG movie because I know I won't want to fight the lines so I'll have to wait to see it, plus I thought the last book was lame. Excited to "meet" your little miss soon!!

  17. I've been dying to watch GCB!

  18. Jamie says:

    Thanks for playing along!

I'm loving the spring weather down here in Georgia too!
