August 19th marked a special day in our world as we had Miss Caroline Cate baptized in front of our church congregation…Jeff and I knew from the minute we welcomed our daughter that this was something important for us as a family, to have our daughter baptized…not only for her, but as an outward sign to those around us to show that we are committed to raising her in a Christian home.
Mom and I planned a low key celebration and decided to keep it simple and invite our immediate family and close friends… We celebrated at church that morning and then made our way to Mimi and Pappy’s house for a gorgeous brunch in our big girl’s honor.
Here are a few (more like picture overload) pictures from her special day, perfect weather and all!
Our happy little family
Don’t let these pictures fool you…Caroline was a major ham during the service, eating up all the attention and smiling throughout her big debut. It was wonderful to be supported by those we love the most as we all made a commitment to help her walk in the way that leads to everlasting life.
Her gorgeous gown was a gift from her Mimi and Pappy that we found from The Plaid Rabbit and is something she can pass down to her children someday…Thanks Mom and Dad-she looked absolutely beautiful!
The five best friends that anyone could have… our little inside joke 😉
Us with Jeff’s family
Us with Gran and Papa (notice the matching attire, just like always?)
Caroline with her godparents…they are just TOO good to our girl
The Millers and CC…love this picture!

Melt my heart…Caroline has these two wrapped around her finger 😉
She is so lucky to have such incredible great-grandparents

Aunt Shell and Aunt Pattie came over to celebrate, too!
My gorgeous girl
Someday, I cannot wait to show Caroline these pictures so she can see firsthand how much she is loved by our family and friends…little bit is a lucky child and I am so thankful for their unconditional love and support and their desire to always be there to celebrate significant occasions in her life. God is too good to us and we are forever thankful.
