I have been so bad with “life update” posts lately and it’s something I really want to get back in the habit of doing here on the blog…not that it’s the most exciting thing to read for you friends, but I love that I can look back on these posts as a snapshot as to what we were doing and when.
We hit up Home Depot this weekend to replenish our spring goodies that had already withered away. No, it wasn’t my fault…that last winter frost killed our ferns and flowers so we restocked and planted more for some color to add to the yard! Of course we brought Little Miss Green Thumb along for the fun and she loved every minute of it…P.S. this child loves her sunglasses and hardly takes them off.
Do yall have any fun family traditions you do weekly/monthly/etc? Jeff has started a weekend habit where he will get up and fix us breakfast on Saturday or Sunday mornings and it’s something we look forward to every week…it’s nothing fancy, but a fun time for us three to eat together, start the day out right, and enjoy some homemade carbohydrate goodness!
Spring cleaning is going on around these parts and I am making so much progress!! It feels good to tackle that list that had been growing at an exponential rate and cross of one item at a time. I took to the master bedroom last week and threatened the hubby, saying I’d continue to do his laundry so long as his dresser stayed neat and organized…we’ll see how long this lasts.
Saturday night, we attended the Pink Tie Affair
for the American Cancer Society here in town and had a ball with our friends. They had a silent auction and I think between all of us we won 1/2 of the items! We scored, and got a sky box for a Nashville Sounds baseball game, Jeff won a haircut and shave at a local barbershop, and we got an annual family membership to the zoo!! I was so ecstatic you would’ve thought I won the lottery…we get excited over random things these days ;).
We rounded out the weekend by heading over to one of our friends’ houses for their annual Master’s Party cookout…Miss CC was decked out in her Master’s gear (her daddy was so proud) and dined on hamburgers and hot dogs. It was a gorgeous day in Nashville, so we soaked up some sun, blew some bubbles, and then watched Hottie Aussie Adam Scott win his first green jacket. A wonderful Sunday Funday indeed! P.S. I’m not sure there is ANYTHING cuter than chubby baby legs-hehe.
