Three. Sales Galore.
Why is that retailers start marking down all the summer merchandise when we clearly have half the summer to go?? It’s 90 degrees here in Nashville as of late and the last thing on my mind is thinking I need to rush right out and buy a nice warm, wool winter sweater. I guess I shouldn’t complain though, because you can score some goodies on the low. I went to JCrew Factory last week and got not 1, but 2 pair of shorts for $20…budget find indeed!
Four. Summertime Drinks…Yes Please!
The 4th may have come and gone, but I’ve been searching for some worthy summer cocktails to beat the heat…I think I might be making one of these this weekend! Check out the fruity stuff…courtesy of Pinterest. Take your pick…they all sound good to me.
Five. The Softest Blankets Ever.
We all love the Aden + Anais blankets, but I have found the motherload of the most incredible swaddle version from them…the Bamboo Muslin Collection. I ordered a set for Carson a few weeks ago, and from the moment they arrived, we haven’t used another blanket. No, I am not being compensated for saying this, but they are THAT good and I wanted to pass on the good news for those of you out there searching for fun gifts and goodies for the wee ones in your life. I ordered the Pyara colors seen below and I love the bright punch of fuchsia and orange. P.S. why don’t these come in my size?

Oh my!!! My daughter would have a FIT over that Minnie Mouse shopping cart!!! Also, we are head over heels for Aden + Anais blankets!! We absolutely love them still and my daughter is almost 10 months old! Happy Weekend! Enjoy those drinks đ

Your dad is so sweet to take you out on a little date! I think most people want to help when there's a new baby and they think doing things for you is the way (which is nice) but I think they don't realize sometimes it's nice for them to just get you out of the house, you know? Next time a friend of mine has a baby I'm going to take them out for a mani pedi in addition to the usual casserole and baby outfit!
So happy to hear about your experience with Fleet Feet! I've been playing with the idea of taking my business there because I have terrible ankles/high arches and just cannot find a great pair of shoes for me. I've been relying on inserts but even those are getting worn out. I was a little hesitant because I know they're pricey but I guess you can't really put a price on comfort/injury prevention!

First, the cherry beergaritas are lethal because they taste amazing but have TONS of alcohol in them. We made them for the fourth! Second, I thought the same thing about the aden + anais blankets. My friend just had a precious baby girl and has tons of these blankets. Everytime I go over there I always wonder why they don't have them in my size!

LOVE your adorable daughter's shopping cart! I can't wait for the day to get my sweet little Charlotte one đ And what a sweet gesture having your Dad take you out on a little date. SO SWEET! When I had my little girl, I would have loved that! Definitely keeping that in mind when my next friend has a baby. And totally obsessed with A+A blankets. Charlotte uses the sleep sacks now and they are the best and sooo snuggly.

AA blankets are THE BEST! J is obsessed with her AA security blankets…love them! I think I'll have to try the crib sheets for my next bambino!

Hey Natasha! I've got a random question and I hope it's not inappropriate, I'm a first time mommy to a precious little girl who is 7 wks old, loving motherhood but missing my adult beverages! I'm exclusively pumping and was wondering what you do with this situation. I've gave in to a few drinks on the fourth and pumped and dumped til it was out of my milk. I almost cried!!! :'(

I dont mind answering at all…when it comes to having an adult beverage, i did some research and have found if you have 1 drink, you shouldn't have to pump and dump. obviously if i am having more than 1 drinks, i wouldn't feed carson right after or i would pump/dump. i know they have strips you can buy (target has them) to test the alcohol content to make sure you're OK…so maybe try that??? i know it takes awhile for the alcohol to enter your bloodstream so to be truthful, you could feed the babe and sip a glass of wine đ that sounds like a total lush
Cherry beer-garita? Please share your thoughts on that next week. đ

My little Granddaughter has always loved her shopping cart and she is now 3 1/2 years old and still enjoying it.
