Caroline’s 15-18 Month Favorites!

Uncategorized

November 6, 2013

Now she is going on 20 months so this post is a tad bit late, but I wanted to keep posting these because I’ve had some mommies out there telling me they have wee ones a little younger than Caroline and are curious about her interests and what she likes to play with. See below:

15-18 month favorites

Personalized Melamine Plate and Bowl. We got Caroline’s from Lima Bean Kids last year and she has used it a ton…it’s easy because you can put it in the dishwasher so it’s something that can actually be used! If you’re hunting for a fun gift, this is a great idea.
Jellycat Animals. They are the best…hands down. Miss CC won’t go anywhere without her best friend Lambie, but Daddy brought home Bobo the Monkey recently and she has taken to him, too. They are easy to throw in the washing machine after a roundabout with pasta as well ;).
Beaba Spoons and Forks. I have bought all sorts of toddler cutlery from every brand imaginable, and these are by far the best. They are a bit pricey, but we use them day in and day out and have held up extremely well. They are the perfect size for her hands, and she is learning to eat with a lot less mess, too.
iPad (and Fisher Price cover). This has been a worthwhile investment so that Caroline didn’t damage mommy’s her iPad. It’s great for travel in the car (and by plane), and we watch Mickey Mouse all the time. It’s also great for downloading learning apps too so this can grow with her.

Uncle Goose Wooden Blocks. These were another gift last Christmas from Mimi and Pappy, and they have been a big hit. They are really well made, with bright colors and designs, and great for learning ABC’s. We might stack them more than we learn for the time being, but this is another item that will be around for a long time.
Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Playset. For days when you’re trapped inside with the mini(s), this playhouse is a great gadget to keep them occupied. They can check the mail, open and shut the window and door, switch from day to night, etc. I love this one, though it does take up a good bit of space.
Draw in the Tub Crayons. Bathtime is way more fun these days now that we have these handy dandy crayons to play with. They help eliminate meltdowns in the tub and I can’t lie…I might use them too.
Lansinoh Straw Cup. I love love love this cup!! No spills, doesn’t flip but rolls, and it’s easy to clean. Caroline uses it almost like a toy sometimes so it keeps her entertained.
Karen Katz Flap Books. CC LOVES reading books, and the lift-the-flap are her favorites by far. These are even winners from me, who spends night after night reading them over and over and over again (yes, I have them memorized now). Not sure what it is about her liking to pull up the flap, but you can never go wrong!!

I have a 19 month old little guy & he LOVES the Fisher Price house. I love it, too!

  2. My 11 month old LOVES those Karen Katz books – and I've heard so many great things about that sippy cup, we'll have to try!

  3. Jess Norden says:

Great list!!! I just added a few things to Cam's wish list! 😉

  4. Great list! What are some of your favorite toddler apps?

  5. We have the bowl, lambie and the blocks…and you're right…they're some of the best items we've had for E. That playhouse toy looks like a lot of fun…Santa might have to think about bringing it for us!

  6. My daughter loves lift the flap books too. I had no idea crayons for the bath tub existed, that's pretty cool!

  7. Oh girl we love our Jelly Cat animals and books. My mama sells them at her boutique here in KC and everyone raves about them! My little Nora is 13 months old, so this was arrest post for me to read. Thanks, friend!

  8. Kelly Sue says:

We loved the Fisher Price house too! We will give that sippy cup a go, when Taylor gets a little older. 🙂 She is refusing to take a bottle. No Breaks=POOR MOMMY!

  9. This is a great list. I need to get the straw cup for my son!
    The Grass Skirt

  10. E Hayes says:

Lots of those items have been well loved here too! We love the beaba fork and spoon, our Karen Katz book is basically demolished, and the Momma cup is how A learned to drink from a straw when we transitioned around 10 months. We don't use it as much now since it doesn't hold as much as some other cups and I kinda hate that it rolls all over, haha, but the no spill thing is key!

I had those blocks on last year's Xmas list, we will have to see if Santa (or Mimi) brings them this time!
