The Ugly Sweater Tradition

Uncategorized

November 30, 2013

Festive events during the holiday season make me GIDDY!! I’ve always been a sucker for any type of themed event, and ones with ugly Christmas sweaters are definitely at the top of my list.
Last week, I was making my weekly Target run when I noticed these monstrosities… say hello to this year’s lineup of “goodies”:

cats freak me out…so this one is AWESOME
and don’t even talk to me about the gingerbread man with TEETH…yikes

When Meg and I lived together, we started hosting an annual holiday party…we dressed up with all sorts of funny outfits and had friends join us! It was so much fun. This year, she and I are hosting our girls bunco holiday party so we decided why not reinstate our party fun, but this year we’re asking our guests to come decked in their finest yuletide pajamas…it’s going to be GOOD! #hilariousholiday
So, what are some of your favorite themed parties during the holidays??

  1. Krista says:

I love those sweaters and the PJ party idea. Happy holidays!

  2. Chandler says:

Why does that gingerbread man have teeth?!??!?! Oh my goodness!! But I love ugly sweater traditions! Happy Holidays 🙂

  3. Carol says:

I love doing a white elephant gift exchange. With my group of friends, the gifts get a little raunchy but it's all in good fun!

  4. Mandy says:

too funny, I looked at the same sweaters at Target and was dying laughing!

  5. Alexa says:

Love love. This is so hilarious. Love the ugly sweaters!

  6. rachel says:

Those sweaters are hilarious! Love me a tacky Christmas sweater party. We used to host one when we lived in Louisiana and gave fruit cake out as the prize for the ugliest sweater. 🙂 Last year our small group got all decked in our tackiest {there was even an Xmas snuggie worn} and rode around Nashville in a party bus looking at lights. So fun!

  7. Thought it would talk a little about the history of it.
