Five on Friday…Take 5

Uncategorized

March 7, 2014

Today, I was hoping to be here…ready to go and posting five read-worthy notes for all you fabulous blogging friends and readers, but instead, I am taking a little break this week and I am posting one simple graphic that spoke to me as soon as I saw it.

If I’m being honest here, I have to admit that I haven’t been treasuring my time lately…I’ve been so bogged down in the nitty gritty details that I feel like I have missed out on some of the good stuff. The late afternoons spent rolling around on the floor with the girls, the weekends where our family of four has quality time with just us, cooking dinner every night, you get the jist.
So instead of worrying about the blog today, I am taking time to get some things done that I want to do…working on my completing my first chalk paint project, getting creative in preparation for CC’s birthday party next week, working on the website for my business, and then taking some time to relax. Happy Friday friends!!
Try to remember to do the same and treasure YOUR time!

Do you sweet lady. Sometimes the noise of life gets in the way of precious, simple lil moments that you will treasure. Go have fun with your family xoxo!

  2. Enjoy your time with your girlies!! 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful weekend, pretty mama! xo

  3. A great quote for all of us to adopt and make a conscious effort to remember + live by :)! Happy Friday!! Xx.

  4. Everyone needs a little break to spend quality time with those who mean the most! Great reminder today!

  5. Love you, girl…… sometimes you just need a day (or for me, weeks!) to regain some balance and feel like you're actually enjoying it all versus just getting it all done!!

And, I cannot, cannot believe CC's birthday is next week! How in the world have our babies gotten so big? Jackson leaves for college in August.

Oh, also… I loved this quote / print so much (and it so applied to my post today), that I had to borrow it! 🙂 🙂

I heart you. Hope you enjoy the day and get some down time too. XO.

A wonderful sentiment! We took this past weekend to have fun and be together and it was amazing. We did the park, frozen yogurt, the science museum, a front yard picnic – even naps. It was great! Sure not much got done but that's okay sometimes. Hope you enjoy your time and relax! Can't wait to see your chalk paint projects and pictures of CCs birthday! xo

  9. Very refreshing!!! Have a great weekend!!!

  10. Love that graphic.. and the sentiment. We could all use more time and less gadgets 🙂

  11. I totally can relate!! Sometimes you just need to step back and take a breather from all of the "stuff". Hope you have a great weekend!!

  12. Can't wait to see your party preparations, I'm going to do a Minnie Mouse theme for my little lady and would love to see what you have in store! Hope you have a good, but productive weekend!

  13. it takes a lot of strength to lay down the to-dos for the things you WANT to do. and enjoy the chalk painting…. its so fun and addicting!! Happy friday!

  14. Alexa says:

Yes. 100% agree. Hard to remember in the hustle and bustle. But important words!

  15. Megan says:

To be honest, as short and sweet as this post was, it's one of my faves! Your honesty, openness and the fact that you communicated what your feeling is so genuine & refreshing. 🙂
