I Like Big Butts and I Cannot Lie…Take the Huggies Challenge

Uncategorized

March 19, 2014

And by that, I mean little naked-you-can’t-catch-me, running-around-the-house baby booties…is there anything cuter in the world?? I think not.
I was recently asked to partake in the infamous Huggies Challenge, a fun product testing where we sampled out the Huggies Snug and Dry Diapers and today I’m here to report and share our experience.
I’ll be honest, we attempted using the generic version of assorted diapers when Caroline was born, but quickly realized we were a Huggies family and would continue to do so when Carson came as well. Funny enough, it turns out both Jeff and I were Huggies babies back in the day, too!

They fit the girls SO well, and have been the most effective at preventing leaks, holding in overnight messes, and taking care of that lovely #2 mess that comes at the “best” times (AKA when we’re out and the bathroom is across the store, or when we’re seated at restaurants…funny how that happens, right??). Since Caroline was born, we have a song we sing at each diaper change, and it’s REALLY impressive I assure you… it might be funny, but it helps get my babes to lay still for 1.84749 seconds and it’s something CC now hums with me.

Their impressive Leak Lock® protection has been put to the test many times in our home and gives me the reassurance to know both my girls will sleep soundly through the night without waking up in to a wet, uncomfortable diaper situation.
And as always, the fact that there is a BIG Mickey Mouse on each diaper makes it SO much easier for me to convince Caroline that it’s time for a diaper change. As long as Mickey says it’s OK, then all is good in my house!

Another fun Huggies fact is that they sponsor the Every Little Bottom Initiative which partners with all kinds of organizations in the effort to give back to those who need help. Since 2010, their campaign has helped supply more than 60 million diapers to babies and children who might not otherwise have a clean diaper…that’s why I’m proud to be an avid Huggies lover and am happy to share with everyone I know for such an amazing cause!
If you venture to the Challenge site, you can sign up via Facebook, test out products, play games, win prizes, and for each new challenge completed, Huggies Every Little Bottom gives away diapers to a child in need. It’s that simple!

  1. Meredith says:

We're a Huggies family too.. It's funny, my sisters both have boys and Pampers seem to work best for them. Hmmmm but Huggies fit Millie best and have been great for her sensitive skin.

  2. We're Huggies fans as well. We had received some Pampers as a gift and my poor guy broke out in the worse rash. We switch to Huggies and it cleared. They are softer than the cheapie diapers too.

  3. We love Huggies also, they are one of the only brands that I have not had to worry about leaking, especially in the middle of the night.

  4. We love Huggies too! I want to hear this diaper song! I think it would be helpful!!

  5. Gosh I don't know why all babies are so different in diapers! Huggies leaked everywhere with Luke but I just gave them a second try with Ava thinking they would work better for her and it was a no go there too! I seriously tossed over half the pack. We love their wipes but we are a pampers family for sure. So crazy how kids are so different.

  6. Dakota Boyle says:

Why in the world would you ever subject your daughter to these poses and pictures. This is a terrible way to make your point about some silly diapers. You will regret this some day.

    • I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm also sorry that me putting up pictures of our EVERYDAY life where my daughter does indeed run around in diapers is somewhat offending to you. Honestly, I'm trying to tell others out there about successes and failures we have experienced with different products since having children. I know as a mom I respect other moms opinions when I'm looking for advice and/or help. To say I will regret my decision one day… Well that is simply something I will have to deal with.

  7. Carol says:

I am with Meghan, we prefer Pampers but we do love Huggies wipes! A bunch of my friends use Huggies diapers though and swear by them. Caroline looks adorable in all the pictures! 🙂 And I guess I am a bad mom too because I have quite a few pictures of Kennedy running around in her diaper and hairbow too! Good grief….

  8. Keely says:

Wow, not sure what dark place Dakota came from but, WOW. Need to practice "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". I digress, this was so cute! I need to try Huggies again. I'm tired of changing the crib out 2-3 times a week. One of the worst things is doing that! lol Great blog girl, haters gonna hate! Mwah!

  9. LuLu says:

She is getting so big! It is your blog, do what you want on it. Don't let the rude comments discourage you.

  10. Joie de Viv says:

What a cute diaper tush! Umm… what song exactly do you sing? My little one thinks diaper changes are the worst and no song I've tried has worked yet! 😉

  11. Cari says:

we were a Huggies family here too! I also tried cheaper and nothing compared!

    she is just too cute

  12. Even though we are Pampers people in our house, I loved everything about this post! Your CC is built so much liked Nora and I couldn't help but smile and laugh out loud of the pictures of her running and playing in the house! Such special memories for sure! She is a doll, and hasn't forgotten her most important accessory, her big bow!!
