Fourth of July Recipe Link-Up Party

Uncategorized

June 24, 2014

With summer in full swing, I am over the moon excited July 4th is right around the corner. Alyssa over at Love and Life Simplified asked a few of us blogger friends if we were interested in hosting a link-up featuring our festive Fourth of July food favorites…of course I immediately said yes, since I love any reason to whip up some themed goodies in the kitchen. Today we are introducing the Fourth of July Linkup!!

It’s no surprise I love sweets and treats and this gives me an excuse to make another one of my go-to favorites, which is Mini Fruit Pizzas. It’s a Pillsbury favorite, which starts with premade cookie dough, so it makes it easy peasy to complete.

Ingredients
1 package (16 oz) Pillsbury™ Ready To Bake!™ refrigerated sugar cookies (24 cookies)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons frozen limeade concentrate
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 cups fresh blueberries, sliced strawberries and kiwi
Directions

+ Bake cookies as directed on package. Cool completely, about 10 minutes.
+ Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat cream cheese, limeade concentrate and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
+ Spread each cookie with 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture. Arrange sliced fruit on top of each cookie. + + Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 hours before serving
Easy and delish…and they look pretty, too, which is a double win!

So, if you’re interested in linking up with the group, here is what you do: Each one of us is sharing a Fourth of July themed recipe and we are including a link up below for anybody who would like to join! 1. Post your recipe on your blog and link up by July 1
2. Entries will close and everybody will be matched up to another blogger’s recipe on July 2
3. Then, recreate the recipe making it your own and share your results of the swap by July 9
We know everybody is busy soaking up the summer sun so we wanted to make sure you had plenty of time to get involved! We are excited to see what everybody comes up with!!
Other hostesses of the party include: Nat Your Average Girl, Running From The Law, Meet the Sullivan’s, Strawberry Swing and Other Things, This Woman Cooks, Everyday Love, Love and Life Simplified and Words About Waverly.
  1. Sara McCarty says:

Delish! One of my favorites too! You seriously can't go wrong with this recipe!

  2. Krista Dial says:

Like Sara…also one of my favorite recipes! And not overly sweet. I've been following your blog for awhile, Natasha. Love all the fun things you share! 🙂

  3. Love these, fruit and veggie pizza's are my go to recipes!

  4. E Hayes says:

    I love fruit pizzas!!

  5. I made these fruit pies for a birthday party that I threw and they WERE A HUGE HIT! Among both kids and adults, which is rare to find. Another plus is that they are relatively healthy. Don't get me wrong, I love a good pizza and junk food party, but sometimes you need other options and this is a great one!

  6. Fruit pizzas are the best! My little one loves them. Of course she eats the fruit, licks the icing and then eats the rest of the cookie.

  7. Love love love!!! These look so delicious!

  8. Yum these look delish! I will have to try them out sometime. So simple!!

  9. I made the mini fruit pizzas and the s'mores cookies– soooo good!!!
