Ya’ll know I’m a Nashville girl through and through. I’m not a transplant, I’m not a recent inhabitant, I was born and raised in this sweet little city and I doubt I’ll ever leave. To see our city in the middle of a new age renaissance changing to a big metropolitan area is crazy to me because I’ve only known it to be a small town. It’s fun when I get emails from readers telling me they are travelling here for parties/weddings/bachelorettes/weekend getaways and I get to share some of my favorites on top things to take in while they are visiting.
Nashville is getting to be so big that I find it hard to keep up with the latest and greatest, though I have a running list of restaurants Jeff and I hope to sample when we have our date nights together so that helps me think of the new hot spots to try!
I’ve done a post previously about tips and tidbits of everything Nashville and you can access that post HERE, but I wanted to share some additional {newish} insight about the little city that could.
Fashion Forward. Big things are happening in the world of fashion in Nashville…we have gorgeous boutiques with incredible labels including Imogen and Willie, Leona New York, Emerson Grace, and Judith Bright, just to name a few. My favorite places to shop include Blush, The Impeccable Pig, Bink’s Outfitters, Moda, Gin-O, and Festivity.
Tasty Treats and Top Notch Restaurants. In addition to the notables I’ve mentioned before, we have new places popping up left and right. Here are a few more worth noting: Josephine, Jeni’s Ice Cream, Las Paletas Popsicles, Edley’s BBQ, Moto, Saint Anejo, The Treehouse, Grays on Main, Catbird Seat, Pinewod Social, Pub 5, Kitchen Notes, and The Farmhouse. So many to taste, yet so little time! No, I am not a foodie, but we definitely like sampling the local flavors and having a nice dinner from time to time.
Entertainment for Miles. In and around Nashville, there is SO much to do. You’ve got the Nashville Zoo, Yazoo Brewery, Frist Center for the Arts, Country Music Hall of Fame Museum, Ryman Auditorium (if you can see a concert here, DO IT, trust me), Arrington Vineyards, Adventure Science Center, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, Belle Meade Plantation and Winery, Bluebird Cafe, The Parthenon, Bicentennial Mall and Farmer’s Market…oh I could go on and on.

LOVE Nashville!! My hubby and I are hoping to move back to TN this year, after 4 years away, and Nashville is at the top of our list!! XOXO
That's a must do on my travel list. Will have to keep this post in mind and thanks for sharing and these things. I love recommendations
I ran the Rock n' Roll half marathon there several years ago and loved that city too! I wasn't there long enough to fully explore, but I really want to go back!
I have always thought of Nashville as a big city but I live way out in the country in middle TN. I guess if I was raised in and around it I might think it wasn't that big. It seems to me that ever since the Titans came to town the city has just really blossomed. I went to college for a couple of years near downtown so I feel like I got somewhat of a taste of how being in the city is. I love reading about places in Nashville in Southern Living and other big magazines.
My step daughter lives in Nashville & I LOVE when we go visit. We HAVE to eat at Pied Pipers every time we're there. My fav place there!
Such a cool place
I'm seriously have to visit Nashville someday, and not just because I love the TV show (haha)! I always love seeing all your posts or details about your weekends there and this post just confirms what a cool place it is to love and / or visit!
Seems like such a cool place to visit – it's on our bucket list of places! 🙂
I just moved to Nashville about 2 weeks ago and am so in love with it. After many years of coming as a tourist for the very cliche bachelorette parties/21st birthdays on Broadway it is so much fun to have time for other places that the out of towners do not know about it. My sister & I live downtown, I work downtown and it is so much fun. I love all your restaurant recommendations as I am always wanting to try new places. This is a fabulous place to live & I don't plan on leaving, except maybe to migrate towards the suburbs to raise kids!
LOVE Nashville, the hubby and I have have thought about a weekend away there soon we always have a fun time when we go!
We love visiting Nashville…I think if we ever moved from Oxford, Nashville would be our next pick! It's such a fun town and you're right, it's a big city with a small town feel. We're planning on coming sometime this fall for a little weekend away!
Ah we had a choir trip to Nashville a few years ago and sang at the Ryaman and Country Music Hall of Fame. Hands down one of my favorite cities to visit! Definitely will be back since we didn't get to do everything the first time!!
Too funny, I have read your blog for awhile and never commented but I was actually in Nashville this past weekend for a bachelorette party! Everyone we met kept commenting on how popular the city is getting and how so many people go there for bach parties now! We actually stopped at Moda, very cute store. Also had great meals at Hattie B's, Pucketts, and The Southern! It is definitely one of my new favorite cities, had such an amazing time there!
Natasha, you are a woman after my own heart. I'm Nashville born and bred too and love my hometown with all my heart! I went to MTSU for college but now live in GA {Boo!} 😉 I'm just loving your blog and look forward to getting to know you more. Thanks for the follow on Twitter! Take care.
Thank you so much for this little guide to Nashville! It is my hometown as well but I always enjoy a little travel guide to my own hometown so I can be a tourist time to time 🙂
