Round Up of Favorite Old Blogging Posts

Uncategorized

April 28, 2015

Do you like to venture back into the archives to dig up buried blogging treasure? Man, this blog has changed and grown with me over the past seven (yes, seven years) and it’s seen it’s share of good and bad posts… with that, I wanted to share some of my favorites… no particular order, rhyme or reason, but just because it may spark an interest in some of you and brings a smile to my face to see how far we’ve come!

Food Love

Margarita Cupcakes… because anything with margarita is better! My favorite Ham and Poppyseed Sandwiches that make THE best food to take for a party/tailgate/playdate/etc. And don’t forget about my go-to dinner to make for friends, Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas!

The Personal Side

100 Thinsgs About Me…because we all have crazy/strange things you need to know), the post about the day I was saved because my faith is SO important and what changed me during my mid-20s, life lessons from when I turned 30, and of course my bucket list of all the things I hope to accomplish.

Life Events
Of course I’ve been known to throw a party or two… recapping so many events throughout my life on the blog has been something I’ve loved sharing with so many of you!
Letting you see a peak into our life and what makes it mine has been a blast:
Our Wedding: Bridal Portraits, Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, Reception: Part One & Part Two
Caroline: Our Gender Reveal PartyThe Birth of CarolineCC’s Lucky Charm First Birthday PartyCaroline’s Oh Twodles Second Birthday Party, & Caroline’s Pancakes and Pajamas Third Birthday Party
Carson: Surprise, We’re Pregnant AgainThe Birth of CarsonCarson’s Ice Cream Social First Birthday Party

Travel Times
Before we were old, married, and had kids, Jeff and I traveled quite a bit. From Napa to New York to Charleston (where we got engaged) to our honeymoon in Antigua, there was no shortage of fun trips and weekend adventures! Now, we stick to family vacations to Rosemary Beach (2014 (one, two, and three) and 2013), Seaside (one and two), and couple’s trips to Scottsdale and our upcoming Labor Day weekend getaway to Miami.

Decorate Your Space
It doesn’t happen as often as I like, but decorating is so much fun and I enjoy making a space feel like home. From our old house, you can see the master bedroom, Caroline’s nursery, and Carson’s nursery. And of course we’re a work-in-progress at the home we live in now, but have successfully completed the powder bathroom, my office, and now CC’s big girl room.

Working it Out

You know I’m not into the fad diets // workouts // other crazy marketing schemes out there to get you toned… I go by the tried and true method of working out and eating the good stuff and I’ve definitely learned a lot in my 31 years… from completing my first 1/2 marathon to working out for my wedding to working out while pregnant and then getting my body back post-baby, I’ve been up and down and seen the good and the bad. Looking for a 10-minute workout to get your heart rate going? Wanting to tone your arms? I’ve also listed my favorite workout music too! And here’s a look at my overall go-to gym post.

A little trip down memory lane… and these are always good for the soul! Thanks for all your continued love and for sticking with me friends! OXOX

Awww, I love this post! I've only been reading for about a year now and it was so fun to see a little bit from your past!!! 🙂

  2. Love this little walk down memory lane! And I may or may not have just bookmarked the food posts 🙂

  3. Love! One addition to parties — Jeff's hotdog party! One of my faves!

  4. Cameron says:

My husband and I honeymooned at Hermitage Bay the week before you all and had our son the day before Caroline. Too funny! Must have been something in the water 🙂

  5. Krystal says:

Loved reading the vacation posts! Do you mind if I ask how you found your Rosemary Beach condo? I'm such a stickler for nice and CLEAN places to stay and yours looked beautiful. Thanks!

  6. This is such an awesome round up. I've been reading along for about the past 12-18 months, so great to look back 🙂 Your Enchilada recipe has become a favorite at our house! And I loved reading about your weekend in Scottsdale having just recently moved here from Australia. Lucy x

At your recommendation we stayed near Rosemary Beach in Inlet Beach. We fell in love with the area but no so much with the stinging jelly fish! My daughter was stung twice on our April vacation. Be careful when you go back, there are many of those marine pests apparently and we had no idea. We loved the Mexican restaurant in the downtown area there…so delicious, best meal ever!

  8. Hey girl! Love the travel post! It reminded me that me & hubs also loved to travel before our kids came along! Must write posts about our honeymoon to St Lucia & trips to New York & the South of France before baby brain takes all of my memories of them completely away! So we're off to Menorca next week, looking forward to seeing my sweet kids in their Sugar Bit bits! Will Insta & hashtag #sugarbitkid Best Lizzie XO

  9. I am obsessed with this round up, I love reading some of your "old" but new posts to me! 🙂 Xo, Stephanie

They catered my wedding last month and they were amazing! Don't overlook this gorgeous venue!! This vow renewal location is something you have to check out in person. My family and friends could not stop talking about how good the food was and how sweet the staff was!
