It’s been a few weeks since I returned from a weekend at the lake with my gals and I’m already counting down the days until we do it again next year!! I’m so thankful that my husband offers to take on full-time daddy duty so I can enjoy some girl time with my closest…and don’t worry, he has a few boys’ trips coming up so I can return the favor, too.
We left Nashville early that afternoon so we could beat the rush hour traffic and head to Watts Bar Lake, which is where my friend Joanna’s family has a lake house…of course we stocked up on plenty of snacks, tunes, drinks, and such to make our 2 hour roadtrip WAY more enjoyable!
The weekend was full of playing catch-up-on-life, too many rounds of Cards Against Humanity and Heads Up, more junk food than you can imagine, yummy adult cocktails, laying out catching rays on the dock in between rain showers, and bonding time with some of my favorites…

I love you girls and I am so thankful for each of your friendships…through good and bad, the highs and the lows, you are always there and I treasure our time together!! And this serves as a PSA to you blogging friends out there to make time for your gals… time away from the hustle and bustle of life does a body good!!
