One Room at a Time… Caroline’s Big Girl Bedroom Reveal

Uncategorized

July 22, 2015

It’s been a long time coming, but I am thrilled to be able to share Caroline’s bedroom with you today! Having this space completed has been a labor of love and I am absolutely delighted with the finished product from our amazing interior designer Kendall Simmons.
Last year, I shared the overall inspiration for the room and the end result is even better than I could have fathomed… so much so that this mama got a bit teary eyed when I finally saw it and Caroline is absolutely loving her new room with her big girl bed! When loved ones come over to visit, she always asks them if they want to see her “beautiful big girl room”.
The colors are warm, inviting, and yet still sweetly sophisticated, the accents are whimsical and I know these pieces will grow with her for years to come. I’m obsessed with so many of the individual details that make this room so very special for my big three year old.
Come along and take a little tour… of this special place our CC calls her own:

and just a tiny sneak peak at her bathroom!
I want to thank Kendall Simmons [website] and photographer Baxter Miller [website] for their talents and for coming to our home to share in this experience for both my girls… it was a joy to be able to work with each of them and I cannot wait to do it again very soon!

The picture with Caroline resting her sweet little face on her hands. Lordy, I love those babies. And the room. But seriously, those girls are the absolute cutest.

  14. Where do you have the ribbon hanging with the bows attached? I have been planning to do this on the back of my daughter's bedroom door but I'm afraid she is going to get into them all the time and make a game of ripping them down at night.

  19. I am completely smitten with that crown chandy!!! If only I had money to spare…

  20. Laura says:

I know you did a great job listing everything for the room but I have to ask….where do you get their bows from? My little is ready to go up to the next size like these and I love the variety of colors. I think you recommended the little bows we've been using from Etsy.

  21. Candice Rork says:

Where do you buy their bows?!

  22. Wow beautiful!! Such a perfect space for a sweet little girl!

  23. Laura Graham says:

This room and your girls are absolutely adorable! I've taken so much inspiration from this project for my own daughter's "big girl" room. Thank you so much for sharing! I have one question – where did you get the balloon print? I know you had it framed at Michael's, but did you order the print somewhere else? Thank you!

  25. Kristin Rupp says:

Just found this on Pinterest…what color is the paint?

  26. Brandy Noelker says:

I adore those pink walls! And lets be honest, the whole room!
What is that pink paint color? I’d love to suggest it to my sister-in-law who is having twins in December!
