Five on Friday || Fall is in the Air

Uncategorized

September 11, 2015

ONE || Target Obsessions

New fall decor at my favorite place to roam the aisles? You don’t have to tell me twice! Currently coveting a TON of these goodies for the casa… in so many rich fall tones of navy, burnt orange, ivory, gold and black! Seriously, what would I do without my favorite store?? Anything you see that you’re eyeing for your abode?

TWO || Local Nashville Events and Festivals
It’s September and I am already adding weekend outings and adventures to the family calendar so we can take full advantage of everything our beloved city [and surrounding areas] has to offer this season! This article was recently published by Nashville Fun For Families, which highlights anything and everything in and around Music City… for kids, big kids, and everyone in between, too! Disney on Ice + Gentry’s Farm + Boo at the Zoo + Bell Buckle Craft Fair are just a few events we have bookmarked! What’s your favorite local fall outing?

THREE || The Ever Expanding Fall Wardrobe
There is something about fall that lures me into buying lots of staples for layering… comfy tops plus knit dresses and of course my beloved floppy hat obsession continues this year, too!! Praise the lord there are hats and dry shampoo for this gal. I stopped into Old Navy yesterday to use up my Super Cash and walked out with all sorts of autumn goodness for me and the girls!

FOUR || Baking and Souping and Chili Oh My
I’m diving in heads first to all things fall and jumping on the PSL bandwagon… choo choo!! Chili and crockpots and dutch oven dinners coming right up. And of course, my MOST favorite seasonal concoction is included below, the Apple Cider Champagne Cocktail. Trust me on this one dear friends, it’s good enough for the guys to enjoy. Doesn’t all this make you the tiniest bit hungry?? Yeah, me too.

FIVE || Kendra Scott Grand Opening Party

Last week, my friend Lauren and I had the opportunity to attend the Nashville VIP Grand Opening Party of the new Kendra Scott store! It’s been open a few months now, but they wanted locals to come to the event to showcase new arrivals, sip on some bubbly, and give us the chance to meet the gal behind the brand. Funny enough, I showed up to the party in proper neon yellow attire, and it was a sight to see as all the employees were wearing yellow that night as well! Great minds think alike ;).

It was a fabulous event, complete with a visit to the Color Bar… I came home with a few new goodies to add to my collection, too! And to top off my night, I got to have a chat with Kendra and she was the most gracious host… kind, considerate, inquisitive, and someone I would truly love to learn from! Girl power, right???

Cheers to the upcoming weekend!!! Tonight is family dinner out where we **attempt** a fun nighttime adventure out to celebrate our little foursome complete with ice cream of course, and then I am hitting the road early tomorrow for my very first Sugar Bit Trunk Show in Memphis… so excited to visit my West TN friends and customers and hopefully meet some new ones, too. Staying with my lovely host Cami so I know I am in for a fun little roadtrip. See you next week 🙂
And as always, be sure to link up with April and other Five on Friday friends!

    I wish there were more places like this, because it was simply too amazing for words. I came here with my boyfriend the other night, and it was absolutely fabulous. The use of wood throughout the venues for events adds a very warm and inviting feel to venue.

  3. Morgan Smith says:

    I definitely need to pin some of those recipes for fall/holiday parties!
