it’s football time in tennessee

Uncategorized

October 14, 2015

This weekend was one for the books… not only did we have a super fun time with all our best friends, but the VOLS finally got vindication against those awful Georgia Bulldogs and came away with a HUGE victory Saturday night in Knoxville!
Here’s a little peak into pics from our adult weekend of fun [and of course a BIG thanks to Mimi and Pappy for taking care of our littlest volunteers so we could go “play”]
Friday after work, we headed East with Driver Andy and Co-Pilot Lala and met everyone at Calhoun’s for dinner before heading to our friend Cary’s parent’s lakehouse… such a relaxing place to call home for the weekend.
Saturday morning, we headed to campus to tailgate and were thankful to have missed the morning rain… we then headed to Circle Park to see old favorites prior to kickoff and then watched our boys in orange come away with a much-needed victory!
That night, we hung out and tailgated with good friends and called it bedtime a little after midnight… and no, sadly we can’t hang like we used to. Such a fun weekend with those we hold most dear… can’t wait to do it again soon!

i know some of you were happy to see this drink make a debut…
oh it’s been forever since i have had one and it definitely didn’t disappoint

me and the hubby tailgating like the good old days!

 Neyland has never looked better!

That pretty sea of orange and white

Gameday dog… a must for this girl

BFFs sitting together.. boys and all! A tradition we absolutely LOVE

Don’t mind Jeff… he is just listening to “hype” music

 Celebrating a BIG win!!!

Tash! Looooving your hair color these days! You are so dang pretty! Looks like you guys had a great time at the game!! I wish Wisconsin loved their football as much as people in the South do!!

  2. This looks like a blast! Looks like you had an amazing time!

  3. Alex Helton says:

I am SO happy the rain held off and even happier we beat those dang bulldogs.
    Go Vols!

  4. Hannah says:

So fun! and what a great win!!!

  5. Kelly-Belly says:

Awww, that very first picture is so cute. What a lovely couple! Glad you all had fun. 🙂

  6. Vanessa says:

How cute are you guys?!? And what a fun little gameday getaway! My parents are watching the kids so we can do the same in a couple weeks and this momma CANNOT WAIT!!!

  7. We love our football here in Nebraska too !!!! Love this time of year 🙂

  8. I love a girl who values football! My Buckeyes didn't look so hot this weekend but a win is a win so I'll talk it.

  9. We don't follow a game like this as a couple, it looks like so much fun. Humour an English girl, why all the orange, what did you eat and what is the drink? and what is tailgating? I clearly know nothing about the American way of life, clearly! Looks like a fun crowd xo

    • you make me giggle momma… i love it!! we were orange because it's one of our college's team colors and it's a MUST to eat a hotdog at the game along with pretzels, peanuts, and candy! as for drinking, most stick to either beer or jack daniels whiskey and tailgating is basically a fun party where you mingle with friends, play games, and such before the game starts!
