our family’s top 10 dinner recipes

Uncategorized

February 17, 2016

As part of Emily Ley’s 30 Day Simplicity Challenge that I took part in last month, I had a ton of IG friends and fans asking that I share my top 10 go-to dinner recipes that was the Day 25 Challenge
Now let’s be honest, I know I am no Julia Child or anything like some of the amazing food bloggers out there, but I do have some tried and true recipes that are worth taste-testing and have been approved by all of my picky eaters. Hope you find a few to add into your dinner rotation, too. Enjoy!

1 || Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas [via The Girl Who Ate Everything] **I leave out heavy cream and use light sour cream instead

2 || Crock Pot Italian Chicken/Angel Chicken [via Plain Chicken]

3 || Chicken Poppyseed Casserole [via The Girl Who Ate Everything]

4 || Lighter Lasagna Soup [via The Deen Bros]

5 || French Dip Sandwiches [via Chef Savvy]

6 || Crock Pot Pot Roast [via Budget Savvy Diva]

7 || Chicken and Dumplings [via Southern Living] *Dumplings are made from canned biscuits = easy shortcut that tastes homemade

8 || Buffalo Chicken Salads [via Recipe Runner] *I leave the sauce out of the girls as the spiciness isn’t their favorite

9 || Steak Fajitas [via Olga’s Flavor Factory]

10 || Shrimp and Grits [via Food Network]

  1. Thanks, friend! Can't wait to try some of these! 🙂

  2. Yummy!! I'm always looking for some go-to easy recipes. I need to try those french dip sandwiches one night. My husband would love them. And I actually think that I'm cooking that shrimp and grits recipe tonight!!! xox

  3. Jennifer says:

Thank you for doing this – I am excited to prepare these for my family!

  4. Tess says:

May have to try those buffalo chicken salads…..they look delish

  5. Liz F. says:

I am reading this at 8:15 AM and am craving a buffalo chicken salad! I am always looking for different ways to serve boring chicken breasts. familyoffoley.wordpress.com

Those Valentine's baskets are so precious! My baby girl is 11 weeks and I wanted to do something, but then I realized it would be a little silly! I can't wait for the first holiday where I can make her a little treat basket! I'm probably going to do a little Easter basket even though it'll be stuff we'll use for her. I also love those dresses, particularly the white one!
