Rosemary Beach Rewind… Days 5-7

vacation

May 24, 2016

All good things must come to an end… although these recap posts make me realize I need to start planning another 30A beach trip like ummmm tomorrow. Never enough time in the Gulf with that beautiful sand, happy restaurants, and perfect weather.
The morning started off with a rousing Disney princess marathon of singing and dancing… no charge for you to see the show of course 😉
Day 5 and we were back at the beach, spending ALL day out in the sun, building castles and moats, digging for buried treasure, more paddelball and can jam, and enjoying time with the little ones and friends. That night, Jeff and I did date night out by ourselves, walking to Havana Beach for dinner outside… I ordered the Farm Chicken, which is so not like me, but let’t just say Jeff got outordered that night because it was to die for tasty. Then we headed back to the house… some of the wild adults stayed up and played poker, while us old farts [myself included] read books and went to bed early.

Thursday rolled around way too quickly and that day we decided to walk to Alys Beach for a morning splash pad jump session for the kids and donuts for us bigger kids. Yes, that may have been the only exercise I did all week, but that was one long walk… which was so worth it for that chocolate glazed goodness that I downed in 3.6 seconds.
Afterwards, we lounged poolside for the rest of the day, taking it easy, working on our swim skills with the girls, and then got ready for our parent’s night out date night courtesy of Auntie A… we started things off at Caliza Pool for cocktails and then went to a 9pm dinner at Cuvee, which proved to be a new favorite for all of us. Hands down, best meal we’ve had in awhile… do yourself a favor and order the Fried Green Tomatoes for an app and don’t set down your fork until you tasted the Banana Cream Pie for dessert… you won’t be disappointed I promise!

Friday came with a bang and we headed down to the beach early to savor our last day by the sea. It was picture perfect weather and waves and we enjoyed every minute of it.. they practically had to drag me into the house kicking and screaming because I didn’t want to leave.

Until next time beach… we sure do love you!!!

You look JUST like your mom in the donut picture with the girls!!!

  2. Looks like the perfect vacay! Love the pink water looking shoes that Carson is wearing in the wagon. Where are those from?
