Our Summer Essentials For the Pool!

Uncategorized

July 13, 2016

Pool days are in full rotation around our house these days… I’m pretty sure we won our own version of the lottery when we bought our house because it’s directly across from the neighborhood clubhouse and pool… jackpot for our water-loving babies!! I thought it would be fun to do a little show and tell as to the content of our bag when we head to the pool… necessities, items that make the pool visit much more fun, and some things we’ve acquired that have become so helpful when we load up and make the long walk across the street!

First things first, the holder of all the goodies… my Hayden Reis Banana Leag Bucket Tote. It’s made of sailcloth, so I can spot clean it throughout the season and it has inside compartments for storing my wallet, keys, sunglasses, phone, etc. To guard our skin from the sun, we use the Beautycounter Protect Stick Sunscreen for Face and Protect All Over Sunscreen, which are easy to apply, and the girls don’t mind “helping” put it on… thankful for no more screaming fits over sunscreen application this year!
Once it’s time to get in, I make sure to have all of our trusty swimming friends and toys… a new favorite this season has been the Swimming Dory, Dizzy Dive Rings, Toypedo Bandits, Puddle Jumpers, and Swim Goggles.
Caroline and Carson have been taking private swim lessons with a local instructor this year and it’s been amazing to see how much they’ve learned in such a short amount of time!

Of course let’s not forget about protecting our eyes… for that, I turn to Babiators Sunglasses for the girls [from Sugar Bit of course] and I rotate between my trusted specs, too.
When it comes to snacks and drinks, I make sure to bring along a S’ip by S’well Water Bottle, and if I’m indulging in an adult beverage, my favorite Bev2Go Cup! For the girls, we usually bring along our personalized Kids Tumblers as well as some snacks and fruit.

Finally, it’s time to head home, so I wrap up in a yummy Turkish T Beach Towel and for the girls, I bring along this Just Born Hooded Towel Wrap, which is super comfy, soft, and helpful in drying my water babies off after a swim session.

Cheers to a fun day at the pool!!

  1. What a great roundup of goodies!! Enjoy those sweet little fish

  2. that is awesome that you're so close! Our pool is in the neighborhood, but about 4 blocks away! womp womp.
