winter beauty must-haves | 2017 edition

Uncategorized

January 11, 2017

I gave you a little sneak peak into my latest and greatest winter beauty must-haves with last week’s Five on Friday roundup, but today I am back to share the necessary details on these seasonal favorites of mine. I know we all love to keep up-to-date with beauty finds that change the game and these sure don’t disappoint!
Tula Urban Defense Hydrating Mist. I was recently introduced to Tula Skincare, a line that incorporates probiotics into their products that has the good for you bacteria in each and every product they sell. This hydrating mist helps to form a protective barrier to your skin, keeping out toxins and pollutants, while hydrating your skin from the inside out. It smells great and I’ve been keeping it in my cosmetic bag for on-the-go misting.
Perricone MD Multi-Action Overnight Treatment and Cold Plasma Eye Cream. Perricone MD’s skincare products are some of the best I’ve tried… they are anti-aging [which I am trying to combat] and both of these are working wonders on my face. The overnight treatment is good for me because I am usually forgetful of daily moisturizing, so putting this on prior to bedtime is easier to accomplish and keeps my face moisturized as well. For the eye cream, I use it in the morning and night around my eyes to prevent those pesky wrinkles and crow’s feet… I’ve also noticed a visible difference in my dark under eye circles since starting this regimen which has been a problem area for my skin. They are a bit pricier than some other options, but you only need to use a little so these have lasted me awhile! My only complaint with these is that the smell of both is fairly potent, so if you have sensitivity to that, be aware 🙂

Beautycounter Enrich Body Butter. I use this year round and I absolutely love it… the scent, thickness, and overall ability to keep my skin moisturized throughout the day is all it took to sell me on this product. It’s so good I buy it for gifts, too.
Clarins Supra Volume Mascara. I struggle when it comes to mascara… I feel like I am the only person in the world that can’t seem to find their favorite variety. One is great at lengthening, while one is great for fulness, and the other is fantastic for lower lashes, yet I’m always searching for something better. I stumbled across this version from Clarins a few weeks ago and haven’t tried another since… I love the size of the flat wand/applicator, the fullness it gives AND it stays put all day long. At $28, it doesn’t break the bank either!!
Emjoi eRase e60 Epilator. Hair removal from the convenience of home?!?! Yes please. I’ve used a few of the Emjoi products before [like my favorite Micro Pedi] and this new release is really good to replace tweezing as well as shaving. It removes hair at the root, and I haven’t had to shave my legs in 3 weeks… heck yes! It’s great for those pesky sensitive skin areas, too.
Say Hello to Sexy Legs Tinted Glow Gel and Illuminating Fluid. Duh, we all know this girl loves a good winter faux glow, and I hit the jackpot when I stumbled across the Say Hello to Sexy Legs brand… I’ve sampled a few of their products and these two have been my ultimate favs. The Tinted Glow Gel is easy to apply, tinted so you can see where you’ve applied, and it’ gives an instant, natural looking color. As for the Illuminating Fluid, it works best for me as a highlighter… it has a bit of shimmer to it, so it reminds me of the VS models during the runway show and Carrie Underwood’s gorgeous gams. It’s a great way to contour your legs to show off your best assets [and yes, YouTube how to do this because it’s AMAZING to see in action]. My favorite part about this line is that it doesn’t rub off on your clothes which is PERFECT for travel and warm weather vacations… I’m taking this to Turks with me this week to avoid blinding any of the other resort guests 😉
And of course, you need a fun bag to store your new found favorites, so I rounded up a few pretties online… all under $30 so you can stay on budget AND beautiful all year long!

I'm intrigued by your comments on the Clarins mascara. I've always had the same struggles (length vs. volume). I'll definitely have to try this one!
I just posted my own winter 2017 beauty tips today as well!
