Gotta Go Back to School | All the Essentials

It’s a MAJOR milestone week in our house… both the girls are going back to school!!! Caroline starts half days of kindergarten later this week and Carson begins Mother’s Day Out again tomorrow. I know it’s going to be tricky at first, figuring out scheduling and how to tackle our days as best as possible, but I am excited for this next chapter for both my babies, so of course we’ve been shopping like crazy the past few weeks, trying to make sure we have all the school days essentials. And yes, wanting to do a little sneak peak of some of our daily staples that make life easier:

First up, let’s talk lunch… I swear by the Pottery Barn Kids Food Storage Containers. They make it super simple to prepare lunches and keep each item organized! We use the Spencer Clear Sets as well as the Bento Box Containers and they hold up well AND are dishwasher safe = score one for mom! And don’t forget to snag the Utensils and Carrying Case Set, too!

Caroline chose her lunchbox this year [a sweet school gift from Mimi and Pap] and we were shocked [haha just kidding] that she selected the AquaDisney Princess Classic Lunch Bag and matching Insulated Water Bottle.

Of course we couldn’t stop there… I hopped online to Minted and customized these Pretty Floral Frame Name Labels in her favorite hues… purple and blue. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are dishwasher, microwave AND laundry safe so you can put them on anything and everything heading into the classroom this fall! And Miss Carson got her own set, too — these Little Doodles Floral Name Tags in pink and green.

Moving on, let’s talk shoes… since the girls have developed QUITE their own personalities as of late, we headed online to shop for some new kicks for school! KidsShoes.com made it easy to find the latest and greatest in shoes for both my girls and they each got exactly what they wanted. Carson went the traditional route with these Flower Stud Mary Janes, while Caroline couldn’t contain herself when she saw these Cheetah High Top Sneakers.

Lastly, of course we had to do some damage at Sugar Bit, which consists of heading to our stock room to stock up on all the essentials my girls need for school and all the other fall events and occasions we have coming up. Yes, it does make it easy seeing that it’s all in our house… much easier than going in and out of the dressing room, right?!?! Advantages of owning your own children’s shoppe I guess!
