Rolling into Robles | Days 3 and 4

Uncategorized

November 12, 2017

Hey hey hey… back for my second installment from our trip to Paso Robles, California, a few weeks ago. Missed Part One?? Check that recap HERE.

Day three was jam packed, as we began our day at Adelaida Vineyards, which quickly became our favorite place we visited. Their casual and laidback style was right up our alley and their staff made us feel so welcome! We even had time to take in a few pictures and signed up for their wine club because we loved their varietals so much [GREAT reds for anyone on the hunt for some tasty and bold sips for fall and winter].

Our next stop was at Daou Winery, where we had an outdoor private tasting with charcuterie and cheese boards… their scenic views were absolutely incredible and a definite must-stop if you’re traveling to Paso. Their property was absolutely stunning and would be a great place to stop by in the early evening, as they have fire pits, too.

From there, we went downtown and had lunch at Berry Hill Bistro, and then snagged some souvenirs from the General Store for the kiddos! After lunch, we headed to Eberle Winery for a wine tasting and cave tour… I was so glad we were able to make this happen since a lot of our friends hadn’t visited a vineyard prior to our trip and the cave tours are SO much fun… just to see their entire process from start to finish, how they store their barrels, and such–if you have the chance to do it, make sure you do! Their owner and CEO even stopped in the tasting room to say thanks for coming, and I loved the small town hospitality they offered… definitely a win for this southern group of friends ;).

That afternoon, we took it easy at the house before heading to Opolo for their Harvest Festival private dinner and wine event… to say we had fun would be an understatement. We FINALLY got to stomp some grapes, indulge in some authentic Greek food and dancing and of course we were the group of girls singing our hearts out while our husbands looked on and acted like they didn’t know us… hahaha, true story. Needless to say, we had an INCREDIBLE time at the event, and then it was back to the house for late night games and shenanigans!!

For our final day on Saturday, we wanted to head to the town square for a relaxing morning… us girls headed to We Olive for some tasting and shopping and then met up with the boys who were happily perched at Pappy McGregor’s taking in the Saturday football games. A perfect day taking it easy before heading to Margarita Adventures for zip line tours, which was absolutely a major highlight on our trip… I would highly recommend this for a change of scenery and to take in some of the countryside and it was a fun group activity!

That night, we headed to Thomas Hill Organics for a late dinner… a fantastic way to end our trip with a bang. All in all, we had the perfect trip together and we can’t wait to start planning our next bunco couple adventure next year!
