Welcome to Our Dream Home… The Master Bathroom

Uncategorized

February 4, 2019

Ahhhh… give me all the classic, timeless bathroom hardware, vanities and details and you’ve got my whole heart. Moving right along as we share #thestonekingreno with you, this time it’s all about the Master Bathroom, also known as mama’s vintage, hotel-esque getting ready room.
**see our Master Bedroom reveal here**

With so much bright light and amazing tall ceilings, Kendall and I envisioned something completely reminiscent of the Gatsby era… with high gloss black cabinetry with gold hardware, giant mirrors flanking the double sinks, sconces and a great chandelier for elegant lighting–seriously, can you tell how giddy I get to talk about this space??

It’s truly incredible–from the giant marble double shower to the patterned rug tile and black outline, it’s chic and yet still so classic and I fall more in love with it everyday. Here’s all the great goodness that makes up our master bathroom:

I absolutely love my little catchall station… a gorgeous gold dot tray, intricate brass jewelry stands,
trinket trays and just the perfect place for little bits and baubles

Moving into the interior of our huge shower space, Jeff and I both knew we wanted to keep the former setup of our double shower… one because neither of us are bath people [random fact haha] and two because we weren’t doing this renovation for resale value–we wanted to make it ours. We already had the valves from the layout previously, so it made sense to stick with Delta hardware and fixtures to keep it simple… we loved the timeless brass look and yes, we use them all ;). We ordered a large Lucite Handle online and it’s the perfect accessory as you enter the shower.

Kendall had the idea to make a tile rug for the interior of the shower as well as in front of the cabinetry and it ties the entire space together and gives it a pop with that black detail… another reason she is our superwoman!
