Cue the waterworks, or maybe the confetti = depends on the day if I am being blatantly honest. I cannot believe the day has come for theses babies of mine to go back to school. I’ve officially got a 5th and 4th grader and our days at our beloved elementary school are winding down [that’s an entire separate conversation for another day though].
We’ve been doing these back to school bus photos with our dear friend Alli Golden for YEARS and I can’t help but get sentimental at how much Caroline and Carson have grown and changed, their sweet matching outfits traded for styles that now fit their own unique personalities and preferences. But every so often, they will delight their mama, play dress up and let me curl their hair and smile big for the camera so that I can document this time in life I never want to forget. Yes, I’ll probably be the mom doing this when they are seniors and I won’t care = babies don’t keep y’all!!
So here’s a little look of these cuties all dressed and ready to take on their first FULL day of school today. We’ve got one who wants to be an artist or photographer [love how creative my sweet Caroline is] and nugget tells me everyday how badly she wants to be a teacher [I believe that is all because of her incredible teachers she’s had]. Cheers to dreaming big and the excitement of a new school year my sweet daughters… I’ll be sitting here trying not to get too emotional ;).
