You know I’m diving in head first into all things holiday, but if this week has taught me anything, it’s to SAVOR the goodness you have in your life + ALWAYS be grateful for what God gave you. Sure, my minis might be a bit under the weather + plans have been changed and it’s been a bit of a blur, but the fact that our family otherwise has so much GOOD going on, oh it floods my heart with joy and thankfulness… truly what this month is all about.
I’m fairly certain our dear friend + talented photographer Alli Golden was surprised a bit when we walked up in these mostly neutral ensembles for our recent photoshoot! And Jeff might have been when I told him the color scheme I was thinking about as well.
When Alli emailed her mini photo session locations earlier this fall, I instantly snagged a spot at Harlinsdale Farms, a picturesque farm in Franklin that boasts lots of nature backdrops, old barns and wide open spaces and I then decided we were going with warm navy + brown tones for this year’s color scheme.

The best part about Alli’s mini sessions? She knocks it out in a mere 15 minutes so everyone, including the hubby + kids, can smile it up for just a bit and then she sends you on your way… in our case that was out to a family date night dinner since we were already dressed up! Alli has captured our family since the girls were wee ones + her shots are always some of our most treasured to frame, share with friends & family and of course include in our annual calendar, too.

I’ve had a lot of you ask about outfitting this tricky time in my daughter’s lives and where in the world I find their clothes… well, these two ensembles are both from Janie and Jack and yes, I thought the same thing: they have stuff for older kids??? I feel like it’s my latest secret treasure and I’ve been SO pleased with how age appropriate, on trend, well made and picture perfect everything is online. So add that to your roster of telent when you’re shopping for picky princesses like Caroline and Carson.
