Oh goodness… I know all the photshopped and retouched pictures of glamorous models and such can be fun to look at, but when it comes to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it much better to see real-time pictures, videos and in-store try-ons showing what these pieces look on us normal peeps = you feel me???
I don’t know about you, but I get WAY overwhelmed when I’m searching through hundreds of sale pages online and everything starts looking OH so similar… so I am attempting to streamline your shopping experience and make this process easy peasy and painless!
This year, my game plan was the same as 2022 = I went in with a detailed wishlist I had made online… showing ONLY the items I was looking to purchase because I truly wanted them, not just to buy because it was a good deal. And I actually spent less $$$ and I am thrilled with what I bought because they are the really good finds + not just what everyone else is sharing = happy early birthday to me! Just remember to only take home things you TRULY love and want. It’s just a sale afterall!!
For easy shopping, I am breaking down each try-on by category and what I saw in my local Nashville store too… ready, set, shop and save!
This category is where I bought the most this year… let’s face it, it’s what I wear most days anyway!! I want to be comfy, cute and of course full of color and they didn’t disappointment with this year’s assortment of all things activewear.
Sweaty Betty Revive Colorblock Hoodie [in XS/on sale for $59] + Swift Running Skort [in XS/only $50] | Two standout separates in one of my favoritr colorways = no surprise these were instantly added to my yes pile. They are great transitional to fall finds and something I will wear a lot!
Zella Intention Hoodie [wearing XS/just $45] + Live-In Pocket Joggers [XS/only $45] + Studio Luxe Crop [XS/just $36] | A surprising find… this hoodie feels like the Lulu Scuba, but I LOVE this pricepoint… super soft and the color is fab. Pair it with these essential joggers in a fun gray color and classic black crop tank and it’s everyday ensemble style that won’t break the bank!
FP Movement Asymmetrical Top [wearing XS/steal for $38] + Spanx Pleated Skort [wearing small/just $55] | Another staple for me is fun, colorful tops to top over my workout wear and this all new BRIGHT PINK pretty was just what I was looking for. A fun fit with a great silhouette and super soft = done. And yes, I grabbed the Spanx Skort in black = I now have it in three colors and cannot recommend it enough. Great for errands around town and tough enough for strength training, too.
Zella Relaxed Jersey Long Sleeve Tee [wearing size small/5 colors and only $29] | One of my fav in-store finds from today’s visit was this super soft, practical and budget friendly long sleeve shirt. So good I just snagged it online in two more colors = you know how I am when I find something I like!!
Just two one-piece wonders for this year’s try-on. I didn’t see much I fancied in store from the dress department and the ones I had eyes on were already sold out in my sizes. Tough luck but that just means it wasn’t meant to be!
Camella Floral Print Mini Dress [just $84/wearing XS] | You know I can’t say no to Free People finds… the relaxed silhouette, the soft fabrication and the effortless, yet put together style is always a fav. This dress is absolutely darling on, lightweight enough to wear in the summer and is lined throughout the bodice.
Xiomara Floral Midi Dress [wearing size 0/runs big/under $100] | Madewell does it again with this year’s peasant style pretty… it’s flowy + feminine and I love the black floral print, too. A touch of elegance with the inventive neck and fully lined, too. Also comes in plus sizes!!
Basics, but beyond…. I scored heavily in the shirt + sweater roundup. So many incredible finds with really great brands and pricepoints for everyone to enjoy!!! This was a BIG win…
Rails Ellis Organic Plaid Shirt [wearing small/on sale for $114] + Good American Good Crop Bootcut Jeans [wearing size 00/on sale for $85] | Rails shirts are ALWAYS a must-shop during the NSALE because of the pricepoint. They are extremely well made and just get better with each wear and of course I loved the pale pink + ivory colorway. As for these ivory colored bottoms, add them to your cart immediately. They are a great soft rinse, something you can sport all year round and I love the cropped bootcut fit for styling with mules/loafers/slides this fall.
Open Edit Rib Sweater [wearing XXS/just $39] | So nice I got it twice = this mixed woven ribbed knit sweater is SENSATIONAL. Not only is it super soft and fab for fall, but the pricetag is even better!! The perfect crop silhouette that you can still front tuck and available in 4 colors online.
Vero Moda Laney Stripe Sweater [runs TTS/wearing XS/under $55] | My #1 wishlist item was even better than expected and I fell in love with this thick knit sweater even more when I put it on. The pastel colors, the boxy silhouette = it’s absolutely adorable for those of us willing to bring the fun for fall!
Vintage Def Leppard Tshirt [only $22/wearing size small] | For some reason the graphics just always gravitate towards me!! This one is a classic and the budget friendly price makes it an easy add to cart moment. A bit desructed with the rinse, it’s an all season winner in my book!
Rails Camille Acid Wash Denim Blouse [wearing small/on sale for $114] | I’m SO glad I saw this in store because I passed right on by when I was perusing online. My favorite shirt purchase this year, it’s super soft and I love the acid wash in black with a slight ruffle for added femininty!
Mother Denim Hustler Jeans [wearing size 25/under $170] | I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again = you will not find a better pair or designer denim than Mother. The fit is fantastic, the quality is exceptional and they just get better each time I wear them. Hands down the best I’ve ever shopped in the NSALE and I love this super dark/almost black rinse with the desructed ankle detail.
Marc Fisher Marysa Block Heel Platform Bootie [runs TTS/on sale for $149] | An all-around great bootie for fall and beyond, this Medium Natural brown is great in that it’ll go with everything in your closet. I love the square toe and platform style, too!
Arizona Big Buckle Sandals [run TTS/on sale for $129] | #sorrynotsorry happy birthday to me! I’ve been wanting this colorway for awhile and with the gold detail I just couldn’t say no to these pretties. I have been living in my slide sandals this summer and I love that I can transition these to early fall as well.
Dolce Vita Altin Platform Sandals [run TTS/under $80 on sale] | This shoe brand never fails me… they are a constant go-to and I’m thrilled to see them back in the NSALE lineup for 2023. These are fun + flirty in the bright pink color but also come in neutrals, too. Super stylish with a platform and intricate details to boot!
Ugg Shearling Slides [run TTS/on sale for $74/reg $110] Yep, I finally gave in and got them and I am SO happy that I did!!! Carpool chic for when school is back in session and perfect for everyday errands, I just had to have them at that price and I love this cognac color. A definite sell out this year!
Dolce Vita Zina Sneakers [on salke for $79 in lots of colors] | Practically the only sneaker I wear day in and day out and the only ones I took to Italy, they are SUPER comfy, fashionable with the fun details and now that they’re on sale = yes you need them all!
Last but not least… you know I had to save my fav finds for last = the loungewear and pajamas!!! They never fail me and I brought more than a few sets home this time around. Afterall, it’s workwear and the deals were just too good. Plus, they make for PERFECT gifts as well!
Honeydew Intimates Star Seeker Set [wearing small/just $35] | I have purchased this set from the NSALE for the past few years and I promise you it’s worth every bit of the $35 price tag and more. It’s soft and lightweight and I always LOVE the prints they come out with! Size up for a generous fit, too.
Moonlight Eco Crop Pajama Set [wearing XS/just $44] | Shocking = she went for the pink!!! This will be comging along with me this weekend to Napa for easy breezy lounging in the mornings before we start our activities. I love the cropped silhouette of this set and of course now that it’s on sale it’s even sweeter.
Open Knit 3-Piece Cozy Ribbed Set [wearing XS/just $59] | This was a good surprise I found in stock in store… three pieces you can mix and match and wear all sortes of ways, I opted to bring it home in blue.
Moonlight Eco Knit Pajamas [wearing XS/under $50] | Comfy + cute and they come in all the fab prints and solids, this set is superb with its super soft fabrication, piping detail, button up top and of course all the elastic. A great gift to give!!!
