Ready for some spring cleaning??? Yep, it’s time to tackle those bathroom makeup drawers… I went through lots of my skincare + beauty last weekend, checking out expiration dates, things I no longer use, etc and said adios so I could make way for some newness to score at 20% off.
I wanted to be sure to highlight some of my personal favorites from the sale = tried and true staples that I use and love and 100% recommend to everyone [things I buy over and over again and wholeheartedly trust]. No one uses just one brand of skincare = myself included. And trust me, I have tried the high-priced medical grade products, the drugstore favorites and everything in the middle and the ones I’ve highlighted below are my must-have staples for putting your best face forward.
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen | Daily sunscreen is the most important part of my morning skin-care routine ladies… and this one does not disappoint! It goes on clear and has a clean, non-sticky, no greasy feeling. Lasts all day and protects your face, chest and neck.
Drunk Elephant Retinol Cream | Tweens move aside… you don’t need this retinol, but your moms sure do!! Drunk Elephant gets it right every time and this retinol cream is no different! It is full of rich nutrients and vitamins that help keep aging skin tight and bright. **I use 2-3 times a week**
BeautyBio Microneedling Tool | I’ve had this tool for more than 4 years and it’s still a routine I do every week. The “eye want it all” set is full of goodies that you will be using over and over again to combat those pesky fine lines and wrinkles all over, but also comes with the handy eye attachment to eliminate crow’s feet as well.
Sol de Janeiro Body Butter | Not only are my girls addicts, but I am as well… safe to say we are a Sol de Janeiro loving family over here… it shows up on every holiday wish list from my little ladies and its something I’m always happy to get because it keeps our skin hydrated and oh so smooth!
Wander Beauty Eye Masks | The holy grail of eye masks and I can say that because I’ve practically tried them all! Nothing makes you fell a little more refreshed than an eye mask and this one is all about hydration and refreshment = I love to use before photoshoots and big events too!
Hair Fair Favorites
You know I am pretty picky when it comes to haircare and what I’ll put on my strands. Sephora definitely helps keep my mane healthy + happy and they continue to have the best lineup of products + brands I shop.
Nutrafol Women’s Hair Supplement | I’ve become a subscriber = that’s how much I love this hair supplement. One of my newer but favorite finds that I’ve been taking religiously for more than 5 months now… I can see a HUGE difference in my hair since starting these and I am excited to see the progress, especially in terms of less shedding and new growth around my face.
Living Proof Advanced Dry Shampoo | Hands down, THE best dry shampoo ever. My tried and true brand of dry shampoo in a newer formula that actually cleans your hair. Adds texture, camouflages excess oil + keeps the brassiness at bay.
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo + Conditioner | I believe that SO much of what our hair does depends on what we put on it and that starts with the shampoo + conditioner duo I use. I have loved this hydrating one for a long time and also use the purple toning shampoo in between as well. I love the moisture that it adds to my hair and it keep it healthy + fresh + smelling great.
Moroccan Oil Dry Texture Spray | For all the texture and volume that you can dream of … this spray is the answer!! It smells DIVINE and adds a ton of body to my hair. You’ll get tons of volume and loads of compliments.
Dyson Hair Dryer | I know… the price is crazy high on this one, but I’ve had my Dyson for well over 3 years now and it’s been one of the best beauty investments I’ve ever made. Let me tell you this dryer is the quickest and most efficient one you will ever own! It is a game changer and the technology truly keeps your hair healthy, while keeping lower heat settings to prevent damage. P.S. be sure to snag the flyaway attachment for sleek and shine in an at-home blowout, too!
Makeup Musts + Products I Adore
And finally, last but not least… everything occupying my makeup drawer!!! Some are trusted favorites I’ve used on the regular for years and there are some new ones added to the lineup that have been more recent addictions, too.
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer | Lets start at the very beginning and talk about primer. This is one of the most important steps when it come to your makeup staying put and lasting all day + night. I started using this primer for photoshoots years ago because of the staying power and now my girls use it for dance competitions so you know it won’t move.
One/Size On ‘Til Dawn Setting Spray | Now just like the primer… how we finish our make-up is just as important! Carson told me to get this on my last trip for work and I loved the mini size so I thought it was a perfect time o give it a go = I love the aerosol spray and it most certainly combats heat and humidity and eliminates excess oil on the face = fab find for my little makeup guru!
Dior Plumping Lip Oil in Raspberry | Again… my girls know me and they said I’d fall in love with this lip plumping oil = signed, sealed, delivered… I LOVE it. The poppy pouty pink color is great for warm weather and bringing some color to your lips! Fresh fun color and hydration all in one is what I’m talking about.
Patrick Ta Bronzer Duo | I was first introduced to Patrick Ta at a social media event a few years ago and this was the first product I bought to test myself. Well, this two-in-one bronzer combines both a powder AND a cream = a total winner!! A great glow that’ll have you looking like you just got back from the beach.
Merit Beauty Cream Eyeshadow in Midcentury | Last but not least… all things matte + cream when it comes to this eyeshadow. I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older that cream eyeshadows tend to last longer on my lids than a normal powder formula and I had seen great things about Merit so I decided to give it a go. This neutral color is a great basic for any skin tone and the staying power is perfection.
