Wednesday Loveables

Uncategorized

November 9, 2011

We watched Crazy Stupid Love last night and I have to rate it a solid B. The story line was good, the actors were perfectly cast, the mix of humor and drama was adequate, and the eye candy on Ryan Gosling practically naked for a good portion of the movie, score!

I’ve already knocked out Christmas shopping for almost ½ my list… thankful for being able to order online, as this is making a BIG difference in my shopping experience.

The home renovations are going to be done Friday…thank heavens! Not that I don’t love having people in my house all hours of the day, but it’s going to be wonderful to come home to a normal house—and more decorating to be done to put finishing touches on the spaces. Above is a little sneak peak at some of what has been going on in the downstairs family room and kitchen/dining room!

Christmas Village—need I say this again? Mom and I are set to go Friday afternoon, and I’ve  taken off work early…yes, it’s that important to beat the “evening crowd” and avoid the screaming babies and Moms with strollers that come in the mornings {and no, next year that won’t be me…that is what Jeff is for} 😉

For our Junior League provisional project, we are working with two local charities—the Oasis Center as well as the McNeilly Infant and Toddler Center. We’re gathering all sorts of goods so the centers will be fully stocked for winter months and it feels so good to give help others.
It’s official…I’m a holiday crazy person. Since next week is crazy with appointments, Junior League meetings, and Tis the Season shifts to work, and we’ll be out of town for Thanksgiving, I am going to start decorating for Christmas this weekend–I know it’s early, but I can’t fathom waiting until December to get everything done, so I’m starting early…and yes, I do feel as though I have to defend myself on this decision–haha. Don’t judge.

Love those red wreaths! I am thinking of decorating for christmas this weekend too. you can never do it too early 🙂 love the holiday season!!! 🙂

  2. Pamela says:

Glad I am not the only one who is going to decorate this weekend! I just looove the Christmas season!! I am like a little kid!

  3. Laura says:

My husband is working all weekend and I'm so sad I won't be able to go to Christmas Village this year! I refuse to haul the toddler around and fight crowds with a stroller. Have fun!

  4. Caroline says:

I can't believe the holidays are almost here. It just doesn't feel like it should be time.

  5. My mom and I always get to Christmas Village early Friday too (she usually goes on the preview too to scope it out). I cannot tolerate the crowds on Saturday though! Crazy!

If JL needs any donations for the infant charity, I'd be more than happy to get some stuff.

  6. Shari says:

I can't believe the holidays are just around the corner. I will be home for thanksgiving in under 2 weeks. can't wait! 🙂

  7. Ashley says:

OK so I am SERIOUSLY behind but I feel I have caught up on your happiness =) I hope and pray that I am as cute as you are when I decide to get pregnant. You look beautiful in EVERY picture! I am so happy for you guys!
I can't wait to see the outcome of the home renovations! I know how you feel — we are painting and doing all the floors in the house we bought last week and I am ready to come home to a house NOT packed in boxes without all the additional people lol

  8. Lauren says:

I really want to see that movie! It looks really funny.

And I'm so excited to see your house renovations/decorations!!

This might be a crazy question – but what is Christmas Village?!? 🙂

  10. Amy says:

I think it's great that you're decorating early…esp if you're going to be out of town. Nothing wrong with being ahead of schedule. I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I love reading about everything you're involved in. You have such a big heart for people and it's so refreshing to read about the joy you feel when serving others.

  11. Nicole says:

Don't feel bad! I'm decorating tomorrow night. 🙂

  12. Nicole Marie says:

i watched that movie twice in one day. its literally my favorite

  13. Keri says:

I'm a holiday person too. Christmas Village sounds just fab.
