Hello! Caroline…1 Month Old

Miss Caroline, Happy 1 month birthday my darling baby girl…time is FLYING by {just like everyone forewarned me about} and I cannot believe you have been with us for an entire month already! It seems just like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital and introducing you to family and friends.
A little bit about you:
As of your 2 week appointment, you weighed 8 pounds and 9 ounces (55% percentile), were 20.75 inches long (60% percentile), and your head measured 14.50 inches (75% percentile). I know you’ve grown a lot since then, but it’s fair to say you’re already a little advanced ;). Yes, I daddy and I are totally biased. I cannot wait to see how much you’ve grown when we go back for your 2 month appointment.
You have QUITE the personality, let me tell you. You’ve definitely got a flare for the drama, and love to be held…maybe this is why getting you down for naps during the day is quite tiresome for your mommy, as you love interaction at all times.
You love to eat-I tell everyone you’d eat 24 hours a day if I let you, but even I need a break from feeding you sometimes, which is why daddy feeds you from a bottle at least once a day so I can get some errands/chores done, too.
You are still in newborn diapers, and we joke that we should be Huggies spokespeople as we invest in them frequently, and you can only wear the Pure and Natural kind, which just happens to be the most expensive {go figure}…I think we’re starting to master the art of changing a diaper, but at first  daddy would go through 2-3 during changings because you would either pee on him or have a little something “special” as soon as you were clean. You’ve also had tons of gas and fussiness, which I know is painful for you, but can be entertaining for us to watch as you wiggle away, passing gas and making funny faces.Thank heavens for Little Tummies gas drops and your pediatrician recommending fun infant aerobics to work out the gas-these have been lifesavers for us!
You normally sleep right at 2.5-3 hours per feeding, but suprised us 2 times this past week with 5 hour rotations at night..please tell me we’re on the fast track to an all night sleeper soon!
Watching you during tummy time is so much fun…you get so excited and start pushing up your arms, legs, and your head and your entire family is in agreement that you’re going to roll over very early! You are able to hold your head up for a few seconds at a time which is fantastic–go baby girl!
You are still wearing newborn clothes, but you have moved on to some 0-3 month attire. Your adorable belly has definitely gotten bigger…maybe a bit like your daddy ;). No worries though-momma doesn’t mind one bit…nothing is sweeter than that full belly and blowing bubbles on it to keep you entertained and happy.
This past month we also celebrated some fun little milestones-not only were you born on St. Patrick’s Day, but we also had your first Easter holiday, your first official outing to Lowe’s, your first babysitting adventure with Mimi and Pappy, and so many other fun little moments throughout.
Life with you is absolutely incredible Caroline, and I can only imagine just how much fun these next months are going to be because of you. Lying in bed with you during the mornings, rocking you to sleep for your naps, and waking up with you in the wee hours…it’s a challenging job, but the most fulfilling position I’ve ever had. Daddy and I are so in love with you!
