Five on Friday… A Thankful November

Uncategorized

November 1, 2013

A new month is here my friends…a month of celebrating all of God’s blessings and all that we have to be thankful for. For these next few Five on Fridays, I am going to take time to celebrate and talk about five things I am grateful for. We all get so bogged down with life’s little intricacies and juggling everything we have going on, but I want to stop and smell the roses, for I will never get this time back.
ONE. My Two Beautiful Babies

See this picture above? This is my happy place…this is my solace…these two are the single most important things in my life. God made me their mommy for a reason and I am in constant awe of all the joy they give me, and constantly find myself on my knees praying for my sweet girls. Thank you Lord for blessing me with these amazing miracles…my wish is to be the best mom I can be and for them to know they they will ALWAYS come first.

TWO. Health
I’ve seen some crazy things recently…hearing of a college friend losing her battle to cervical cancer, watching friends’ babies go through lots of sickness and health scares, the list goes on and on. It’s so easy to take our health for granted and I am super guilty of that. Thank you Lord for blessing me with a healthy body, mind, and soul.
THREE. Coffee Time
Let’s forget the big stuff for a bit and move on to the daily things… as cheesy as this may sound, I am thankful for coffee and for morning time. I’m thankful for that cup of joe that gets me moving day in and day out and the fact I can sit down with Caroline for a bit and savor the morning when she wakes up (this is while sister Carson is still sleeping). We chat, we color, and we do a little snuggle time and I cherish these moments and pray they last forever.
FOUR. My Growing Faith
I’m constantly amazed at how God guides me and lets me know He is always in control. I’ve had a few rough days these past few weeks with trying to balance my life, and of course it has to be said my faith has been challenged. I constantly ask “why?”, even though I know that sometimes it’s hard to understand His way of working, but then the clarity comes through and I know God is looking out for me. I am thankful that my faith continues to grow and that I can help pass on the word of God to others.
FIVE. My BFF
This picture was taken last weekend after Carson’s baptism celebration (P.S. full recap on that to come next week). I hope each of you are as lucky to have that one special friend in your life that knows the good, the bad, and the ugly. This lady has been through it all with me and she has stood by me unconditionally, and I am in constant awe of how loyal, kind, and loving she is… to me, Jeff, and her goddaughters. I am thankful for her friendship and love her more than she will ever know.
Alright, you know the drill…make sure to link up below with me and my lovely ladies: Darci, Christina, and April. We so look forward to your posts each and every week!!
