Chattanooga Fun with Embassy Suites

weekend

September 8, 2016

A few weekends ago, Jeff and I packed up the girls and the car and headed east for a quick, family-fun getaway to Chattanooga. We thought it would be fun to invite their cousins along for the adventure and it was a great time for everyone, spent touring the aquarium and discovery center.  Today I am here to share a little bit more about our little vacation.
We arrived mid-morning and headed straight to the Tennessee Aquarium for some one-on-one time with friends from both salt and freshwater exhibits. I love how you head up to the top first and work your way down in both buildings, which makes it a fun way to see everything.
Hands down, our favorite exhibits were the butterflies, penguins, otters, and jellyfish!

After visiting the aquarium, we walked over to Big River Grille for lunch, and so we could rest up a bit! Then it was off to our second destination, the Children’s Discovery Museum. This was hands down the best part of our trip and I would highly recommend going… so much to do and their interactive exhibits made it fun for all ages, even us adults. I wish we had more time before they closed for the day because we were unable to see everything in one visit!

Once the museum closed, we headed over to our hotel. We stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Hamilton Place and were so pleased with their accommodations and the details they work on to ensure a happy and comfortable stay for out-of-towners. Our two-room suite made it easy for Jeff and I to stay up later and watch some TV, while the girls giggled away in the bedroom because they were so excited to be sleeping in the same room!
We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that Embassy Suites by Hiltonâ„ĸ offers a free two-hour Evening Reception with snacks and drinks to cater to small and big kids alike… and yes, we partook in some of those cocktails after a long and tiring day!
The staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we entered the hotel… a cheese and cookie tray complete with a handwritten note introducing us to their facility–job well done friends, as this mama loves little details like these! [and yes, both the girls AND Jeff were ecstatic about the yummy cookie surprise]

Looking to make reservations for your own fun-filled weekend getaway??
Embassy Suites offers free made-to-order breakfast each morning! The morning breakfast made it easy to make sure everyone had full tummies before heading out. We were thrilled for omelets, pancakes and waffles, bacon, as well as oatmeal, cereals, fresh fruits, and an assortment of juices, teas, and coffee to make sure Jeff and I were properly caffeinated!
Each two-room suite features a mini fridge and wet bar area with an assortment of coffee and tea for in-room drinks, too. I love the downstairs hotel “market.” It’s perfect if you’re craving a snack or need to purchase something you forgot to pack… these details set Embassy Suites apart and make it easier to travel, while getting the most out of our vacation.
