introducing the house of palms 30a

Travel

January 26, 2022

Talk about a happy hump day surprise!!! I planned to wait until the end of the week to share our BIG NEWS, but when you’re ready, it’s hard to contain the excitement…

Look at what we have here: there were hundreds of guesses last week when I shared this little slice of colorful design and many of you were right in what you came up with: an all new beach abode is coming to 30a this summer for you to rent from our family to yours! Introducing…

A Little Background: last spring, we opened Ro Sham Beaux Rosemary for rentals and both Jeff and I have absolutely loved doing this project together. Lots of blood, sweat and tears for sure, but so much joy not only for us, but for everyone that has walked through its doors and spent time in our little 30a getaway. Shortly thereafter, we started dreaming of doing a second property… the real estate market in 30a is insane, so if you’re ready to buy, it’s gotta be quick. Jeff and our realtor Ashlee stumbled upon this absolutely adorable cottage back in early December, wrote an offer sight unseen and the rest is history. We close this week and then the renovations start [because you know we have to make it our own!!]

The Location: We found this gorgeous house nestled in a super quiet and convenient neighborhood in Seacrest and fell in love. It’s never been rented and has been extremely well maintained from the previous owners, but just like anything we want to bring in some of our individual style + preferences, so that’s where the renovations come in. And thankfully, we now have a ton of local resources who we trust completely and will take great care of our new project, especially since we aren’t on-site day in and day out.

The Plan + Design Inspiration. Brendan from Rowland’s Beach House will be creating custom queen bunks in one of the guest bedrooms and installing shiplap throughout the house for a more coastal, beachy vibe! We are also renovating all of the bathrooms with new finishings and completely new tile work and then painting the interior of the house our favorite shade of white as well.

For these new digs, I instantly started dreaming of a color palette [shocking I know]… something a bit different than Ro Sham Beaux, but of course still integrating color, pattern and plenty of fun throughout. I assembled ideas together and then landed on a classic black and white color palette combined with green and pink — basically think of it as a colorful New Orleans French quarter design coupled with iconic Palm Beach cabanas. Check out the inspiration board below for my overall design aestethic:

From there, the Rosemary Beach team stepped in to help me showcase our existing plans/design vs. inspiration snapshots so you can get a pretty good idea of what we are doing it to make it even better. Ready to check out the current spaces + the all the design details for each space?? Let’s do it!

And seeing as every vacation home needs a proper name, we had to come up with something stately, memorable and of course fitting for the beach so that’s how we landed upon The House of Palms! A big huge help to my aunt Pattie for her graphic design skills to create our logo = and yes, a total throwback to Troop Beverly Hills and I couldn’t love it more…

The House of Palms is Ready to Rent!

I’m sure that’s what everyone wants to know… when can you come visit, right?!?! Seeing as renovations take time–coupled with industry turnaround and crazy lead times–means we are giving our team ample time to tackle the updates so rentals officially start on June 1st, 2022 and the calendar is offically open for you to schedule your stay… click to book here.

A few additional notes to include/specifics worth mentioning:
